  • I'm that poor bastard engineer at my company. This likely will be the push we need to prioritize automation. Dealing with manual renewals with Digicert has been a pain in the ass. If anyone has experience with their automated option I'd love to hear it.

  • Yes it does but I'm curious if similar swings happen in other years. That link only shows the past 5 years which is tainted from COVID downswings and upswings.

I'm sure the Cheeto is having an effect on travel but only looking at data from one year doesn't prove it was directly related to his policies. For instance it can be travel stabilizing after a surge post pandemic.

  • While 900k sounds like a lot, I'd be curious how much this varies over say the last 10 years. Only including one year of data seems a bit self serving

  • I'm lucky enough to live in a place with a lot of local, organic eggs. $4/dozen at my grocery store

  • My 2009 Outback Wagon died on me this past summer 😭😭😭

  • It's so frustrating that if you buy a modern car you have to give up any semblance of privacy

  • That'll show those pesky liberal natives

  • Pro tip: Keep a log of your work in a text file. I write a few bullet points for each day and on Friday write a "Next Week" section for my todos on that following Monday. Helps reduce the cognitive load of trying to remember what the hell you were about to do next.

  • Appreciate all your suggestions!

At the risk of sounding nit picky, I'm not a fan of sedans so the Lucid Air/Ioniq 6/Polestar 2 are out.

The EV6 and Luriq are enticing. The polestar 3/4 is super cool but I hate the no physical climate buttons/huge iPad display.

Honestly the Volvo V60 hybrid is my ideal car if it were full EV and a little cheaper.

  • NGL that thing looks like a pop tart box 😂.

    Also I definitely don't want/need a 3rd row of seats.

  • I'm paying ~$450/month for my lease now(Hyundai Tucson), but I could probably afford up to $1000/month if it's something I really liked.

  • Good call, looks interesting. I'll take a look

  • Not a bad option but still below 300 miles with the AWD.

  • Yeah I'm coming to terms with that now lol. Debating between leasing with the hopes to get a full EV after another 3 years, or just buying a PHEV.

  • As someone in a rural state, cold weather range is one of my chief concerns. I work from home but on the weekends travel to far away backcountry areas to ski.

I'd like to get a full EV when my current lease expires(2.5 years) but the pool of cars that are affordable, have AWD, and 300 miles of range(aka 180-225 in winter) is quite limited.

  • Chromecast is the only reason I keep chrome installed on my laptop. Would love a better alternative

  • That's just poor common courtesy by your coworker. If you have a physical room booked and they are WFH they need to tell you so you don't waste your time. You shouldn't be relying on teams status

  • Ahhh the gigantic benefit of seeing a cubicle in the background of your zoom. Thanks Microsoft

  • Wouldn't your coworkers already know you're working from home by, you know not seeing you at the office?
