  • sounds exactly the same, only thing would be to test maybe if you can get the focus to work out of game with something like a browser, kate, dolphin to make sure it's not just kwin not working and has something to do with game config/proton/whatever you're overlaying? only thing i can think that's not standard for me is my taskbar is set to dodge Windows for visibility

  • i had to double check its

settings - window management - window behavior - window action - at the bottom you can set mouse wheel to 'keep above/below'

what launch options are you using on games? i haven't had this issue using proton + native wayland launch options. iirc gamescope treats windowed apps differently because its only a container and doesn't understand the diff between windowed and borderless windowed

testing in baldurs gate 3, no launch arguments, this works in both borderless windowed and full screen for me without taskbar popping up. though clicking on the window sitting above in fullscreen minimizes and in borderless i have to click back in to regain mouse control. basically the overlay can steal focus, maybe a kwin rule on the overlay to prevent focus stealing might work?

  • there's a shortcut for setting overlay depth, i don't remember if its the default but for me meta+scroll on a window will push a window back or bring to the top.

if I'm in borderless full screen i can select what i want to overlay on my game by scrolling it to the top and demoting the game window to mid by one. note other windows may overlay that are open so its best to minimize or close anything else.

  • it also drives more revenue to Google as they have less bounce rate off their search page. they get more monetization off their own sponsored results.

hurts sites that are providing information as now less people click through from search. less human traffic and increased bot traffic, which of course Google won't pay for as it filters bots out on its ad network.

  • if you watch the new angle released in the past few days you can see he's using his own personal phone. he actually swaps hands, pulls out his gun and leans into the car so it looks like he's next to it on his camera.

body cam would make it clearer but if they can't afford cameras with the funds already, which is enough to fund a small military let alone 4k agents, I'm pretty sure they are just going to spend it on mustard gas next.

  • I've always found post rock/metal to be pretty grounding to me.

    • explosions in the sky (your hand in mine)
    • pg.lost (along the edges)
    • the evpatoria report (taijin kyofusho)
    • red sparowes (in illusions of order)

few of my favorites. although i feel like the albums are worth listening through end to end as a lot of them transition and have a sort of journey element to them, if that makes sense

  • there's a few 3d file browsers. i remember there was one like Doom where you could walk around rooms (dirs) and shoot files to delete them

  • some type of bean salad with a bunch of veggies, tomatoes and a vinegar dressing, maybe some cheese? make a giant bowl that lasts a week and gets better each day. just leave it in the fridge and grab a small bowl as a snack when you're hungry. also works great as a quick meal/side

  • if you're even lazier like me, you can get the snack seaweed packs and eat it deconstructed.

just cooked rice with an optional splash of rice vinegar and a simple tuna salad. use the seaweed to grab a pinch of both.

another great filling is some Chinese sausages, sliced and pan fried

  • arch wiki. some of their documentation is better then most apps give

  • at this point its becoming a class genocide

  • is it even an insult when just saying a fact?

  • would you consider left-handedness a disability? just because someone struggles with things that suit the majority doesn't mean it's an illness

  • it's not a milkshake it's ice cream with candy mixed in to order. it's served with a spoon in a cup so you can get in a drive through and store it in a cup holder.

  • The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. His heart sank as he thought of the enormous power arrayed against him, the ease with which any Party intellectual would overthrow him in debate, the subtle arguments which he would not be able to understand, much less answer. And yet he was in the right! They were wrong and he was right.

  • some of the most unique versus games i remember:

    • R.A.D. (giant fighting robots)
    • gitaroo man

also one of my favorite co-op

    • Tenchu: wrath of heaven
  • How?

    Jump
  • kwin supports this, gnome from my perspective is more about a cohesive experience you either love or don't

  • fina'denne is great for a saucy condiment, 1 part soy, 1 part vinegar, then a white onion (as much as you can fit imo) a hot pepper (i use thai chili but any work) and optionally some cherry tomatoes. you end up with a balaced sauce but also some pickled vegetables that hold the sauce and keep it wet but not over wet. might not be exactly what you're looking for but it's delicious. in general you want to cut the strong flavors with other strong complimentary flavors.
