  • and then went home.

    That's part of the problem.

Effective protesting isn't a "one and done" thing.

  • Kidnapping is a type of capturing.

  • I wish the midterms were overwith so people could stop hoping for that

They'll just place their desperate hopes on something else.

Anything to avoid having to actually do something themselves.

  • and no single person can solve the problem.

That's a big part of their problem. They keep thinking about individual actions instead of coming together and acting as a group toward a common goal.

  • Which US company is benefiting from the illegal attack?

    DJT/Mar-a-Lago realestate holdings inc.

  • just ignore the fact that the largest protest ever isn't big enough for you.

It may have been the biggest the US has done, but it was obviously not big enough to cause an inconvenienceto those in power.

    And not sustained enough.

Protesting isn't a one-and-done thing. You have to keep the pressure on.

    You're after open revolt

And you keep trying to put words in my mouth.

Whatever, it's not my country. If you guys can't be bothered to even protest effectively, thats on you.

We're in the process of decoupling our economy from the US anyway.

  • And we had the largest protest in American history like 5 months ago.

    Oooooo...

    5 whole months ago.

  • There have been protests nearly every single day since he took office

    Isolated and uncoordinated protests.

    And not nearly big enough.

  • Hopefully none of Trump's chaos goblins are there to mess with the process.

  • You're thinking a bit one dimensionally.

Locally produced also means local jobs (with the spinoff spending that comes with more people having better jobs).

And means building the local infrastructure and skill base to sell your products to other places.

  • Praise be our capitalist father who art in Ottawa Bay Street.

  • Where did I advocate for revolt or violence?

  • I'm involved with DSA in my area.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

  • Where are all of the workers in the east wing now?

Waiting to see if their paychecks bounce...

  • My idea was to just bulldozer that shit right after he's gone

Given his track record with contractors, it'll be so shoddily built it will probably fall down on its own. Maybe even before the construction is complete.

  • How far are you from your state legislature? Or from your congressman's office?

And, again, have you got together with other people to combine your voices?

  • Now I’m pretty much waiting around for this whole thing to get rebooted.

That's part of the problem. Everyone is standing around waiting for someone else to fix it for them.

You gotta pull together with others and work as a group to fight back.

I know group cooperation towards a common goal runs counter to the "nation of rugged individuals " mythos that Americans have for themselves, but that's what it will take.

  • And how much did they contribute back to the countries that allowed them to amass that ridiculous amount of wealth?

  • The question is: how broken will their spirit be by the time that happens?

Will they just lay down in fear and exhaustion rather than rising up against the people and system that abused them for so long?
