  • It already is for a lot of modern cars. Especially EVs. I imagine they are so tied into the functionality of the car that it makes the vehicle impossible to drive without the OEM headunit.

  • Artists don't really have a choice. Ticketmaster owns exclusivitty deals with venues. If any artist wants to play at a specific venue, they HAVE to deal with Ticketmaster.

    Sure, they can choose to play smaller shows at smaller, independent venues. but those venues are usually too small for well-known artists who have a big following.

  • Enabling root has always required a device wipe. It's unfortunate if you want to do it well after receiving your device and using it for months with the stock software.

  • Correct. If anything, Disney is only fighting somebody else exploiting their employees so they can protect their right to exploit their employees.

  • I used to also love JuiceSSH, but as you mentioned it's been abandoned. The last update was well over 4 years ago.

    I've since moved to Termux. Synced my bash dotfiles through git so I could have all of my aliases and i was off to the races.
