  • There's the aspect of rearranging knowledge but also the distress that lies in dealing with difficult aspects of reality. Right now many people deny human caused climate change because if they didn't they'd see themselves confronted with a bunch of uncomfortable changes and difficult problems.

It's not just "oh, this thing I believed to be true is actually untrue" but also "ahhh now I have to deal with a bunch of overwhelming issues and the stress that comes with that"

  • I better not wear my Allah loves to scissor shirt in Morocco then.

  • Local cyclist impaled by a steam mop in horrible traffic accident

  • Let those kids sign up for ICE, get the 50k sign up bonus and then deport themselves away from this shit show.

  • And "go kick cocks".

  • Lara sneaking around a camp. Finds a letter one of the mercs wrote to his little daughter. He just wants to come home to her and only took the job to pay for her expensive private school.

She slams her climbing pick into his eye socket.

  • So many posts on on social media are obviously AI generated and it immediately makes me disregard them but I'm worried about later stages when people make an effort to mask it. Prompt it to generate text without giveaways like dashes. Have intentional mistakes or a general lack of proper structure and punctuation in there and it will be incredibly hard to tell.

  • The last 5% aren't a nice bonus. They are everything. A 95% self driving car won't do. Giving me random hallucinations when I try to look up important information won't do either even if it just happens 1 out of 20 times. That one time could really screw me so I can't trust it.

Currently AI companies have no idea how to get there yet they sell the promise of it. Next year, bro. Just one more datacenter, bro.

  • I'm one step ahead of ya in life.

  • Are you trying to trick tech companies into being useful? That'll upset them.

  • Entrapment!

  • I like the course the french have taken when it comes to energy. They recycle their nuclear waste despite the high cost. They invest in batteries. In the short term it costs them more but long term they have an independant powersupply. Meanwhile germany will probably be back to suckling russian gas the moment the war ends.

  • [Nintendo lawyers activate]

  • He just has that "I shat into the air conditioning and I will do it again" kind of face. Maybe he had multiple places to cover but only so much fiber in his diet. His colleages from his other two workplaces probably saw the news an were like SON OF A BITCH!

  • The only thing that can stop a bad guy with fart spray is a good guy with fart spray.

  • If I lost my job in IT now I legitimately would rather retrain to become a plumber. Less shit to deal with than going through recruitment.

  • Bought a new dishwasher for my parents a couple of months ago and every single available model (at the store) had wifi/app connectivity. I could turn it off but there's no "simple" devices available. Some of them require the app to set the machine up or at least make it harder to do without it. I mean a washing machine needs to be emptied relatively quick after it finishes washing so I at least see some use to a notification but a dishwasher? Fuck that.

  • Working in general is lazy. Labor is for people too lazy to be CEOs. You could be hanging from your bootstraps already.

  • It's coming right at us!
