Dude basically defined spacewalking based on his diving experience from memory, as this was a big issue in the early days of the space program.

Danger 5 is another great one!
Ah, my bad, I was just excited to talk about some of ours 😅
Mr Inbetween is probably the most popular, but if you want an Australian version of The Office I would highly recommend Utopia.

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Data center builders thought farmers would willingly sell land, learn otherwise
8·2 months agoQuite a few of the farmers I’ve met purchase outright and claim depreciation via their taxes and avoid the interest, but I would assume many finance as well.

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Data center builders thought farmers would willingly sell land, learn otherwise
15·2 months agoIt’s not that crazy when you see the cost of farm equipment, you own a decent sized tractor and you’re a good way to $1,000,000 in assets already, add on a truck or two, general equipment around the farm, a few buildings and you could easily crest a million in assets. I would be surprised if there are that many private farmers with a million in liquid capital though, and realistically most farmers aren’t going to be rich.

This is bad for trans individuals but I think it’s incorrect to say they’re being revoked as in the screenshot it says a licence will be issued with their pre-transition gender. From the tweet it sounded like they were taking licences off people and leaving them unable to drive at all.

News@lemmy.world•Hazardous substances found in all headphones tested by ToxFREE project
4·2 months agoOk but what about the studies showing they’re unsafe? It’s easy to be scared of scary sounding chemical names and allege they could cause cancer or infertility or whatever, but I am asking for the evidence where these substances have actually had a measurable or observable effect, whether it’s cancer or infertility. As it is this article sounds like the same people on social media claiming that all our foods are killing us unless we only eat organic non-GMO.
