  • Lots of people

  • Someone could make a lot of money stealing a baby

  • Your mom didn't tell you the truth, plain and simple. Whether she knows the truth, that's another story. You can't re-absorb a whole baby, with bones and all that.

  • Maybe BYND stock can finally leave the gutter

  • Child, this is Tennis were talking about. It's a rich people game. There's no time to worry about trivialities like protection of the environment.

  • And it's bullshit, because so what if the ball is a bit less bouncy? It's less bouncy to your opponent too.

  • With Microsoft destroying it's reputation for very long device support, I can only imagine they've also destroyed all trust in them from the embedded devices and outdoors hardware industry. These machines don't get a lot of updates and it would suck to have to throw them away because software support ended.

  • So trees have evolved truck-sensing organs in the span of mere decades? Unbelievable!

  • I didn't know this until recently, but tennis balls wear out quite fast. Not structurally, not the felt, but the air inside escapes with the extreme pressure they endure. And soon they don't bounce so well.

If only sports balls had a way to refill the air...

  • That's exactly my first thought. Whenever I see upcycled things that will just break down into microplastics in nature, I wince.

  • What, no! 🤦 I wanna see titts!

  • Way to go Poland. Some countries in the EU are closer to banning calling vegan food "food". BTW, Poland is joining a restrict club with 2 members: Portugal and Spain

  • When you look in the mirror, you see yourself through a mood filter. If you are feeling happy and optimistic, you will see a nicer looking reflection.

Besides, small things can effectively change how you look in subtle ways. Are the clothes a bit more wrinkly or need adjustment? Do you need a haircut or shave? Did you sleep well and are you drinking enough water? Also, your body posture is different.

My ex has mood swings related to their body image. One day they thought they looked nice and fit, the other day they looked fat and ugly. To me nothing changed, except that on the bad days, they had bad posture in front of the mirror. Unconsciously, they were self sabotaging themselves.

  • Let me guess before reading: cheap labor? Basically it's a developed country, speaking a European language, with European culture, highly skilled labour, and some of the cheapest salaries in the continent. It's closer than shipping from Asia , so also easier to control quality (which is a big problem when ordering from Asia, specially small amounts). All these extra things mentioned are basically nice to haves, or directly lead to cost reduction.

  • Yeah? That's why OP posted it here, there are no stupid questions here.

  • She knows her target audience, who are not smart enough to understand that more bikes and transit means less road traffic, which is better for car drivers. People with one car want the ability to drive thousands of cars. It's beyond greedy and stupid.

  • Mildly Interesting @lemmy.world

IKEA sells toilet brushes with 2 brushes. My brain kept tripping like this is AI even while I held this product in my hand.

  • Firefox @lemmy.ml

Firefox Android has a new stupid menu
