  • If only the bloods and crips were pro-worker instead of pro-wealthy class.

Newsom, a Democrat, says he supports workers and often benefits from campaign contributions from labor unions. But he said he vetoed this bill because the fund the state uses to pay unemployment benefits will be nearly $20 billion in debt by the end of the year.

Beyond the debt, the Newsom administration has said the fund is not collecting enough money to pay all of the benefits owed. The money comes from a tax businesses must pay on each worker. But that tax only applies to the first $7,000 of workers’ wages, a figure that has not changed since 1984 and is the lowest amount allowed under federal law.

  • Thank you for this!

  • Yes, the bloods and crips are always happy to screw people over so that their property taxes can be raised!

  • The House voted 335-91 to fund the government for another 45 days, with more Democrats than Republicans supporting it.

Some 209 Democrats supported the bill, far more than the 126 Republicans who did so, and Democrats described the result as a win.

Democratic Representative Don Beyer said: “I am relieved that Speaker McCarthy folded and finally allowed a bipartisan vote at the eleventh hour on legislation to stop Republicans’ rush to a disastrous shutdown."

McCarthy's shift won the support of top Senate Republican Mitch McConnell, who previously had backed a similar measure that was moving through the Senate with broad bipartisan support, even though the House version dropped aid for Ukraine.

"I want to be the adult in the room, go ahead and try," McCarthy told reporters. "And you know what? If I have to risk my job for standing up for the American public, I will do that."

The funding fight focuses on a relatively small slice of the $6.4 trillion U.S. budget for this fiscal year. Lawmakers are not considering cuts to popular benefit programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

  • It may be true, but other side would be by independent journalists that are not a part of the status quo.

They will still call out the crimes Putin has done, but they also expalin what lead up to this decades long conflict.

Stopping the framing that claims Putin is just another villian/boogeyman in a story/movie, we need to see beyond that.

They are leaders of countries, ruled by the wealthy class to help themselves stay in power. Gov'ts will always fight against other gov'ts for power/resources/information. While the people in the countries suffer and die.

  • Come on now, no need to lie. Nuclear missles and other technology makes them superpowers.

Seeing both sides can help get you out of the bubble of the US/NATO propaganda. They keep pushing for endless wars and profiting off of them, while the poor keep dying for the wealthy class.

  • That is true.

Just know animals bite when cornered, so golden bridge is required or expect a hostile response.

  • Golden Bridge is required for Russia to back down, unless they gain more area to land lock and then they may try to start peace talks agian.

  • Then the war will continue until Russia gains the advantage or a golden bridge to backdown is offered.

Superpowers do not backdown until they gain something.

The US presidents used to be the ones to start peace talks, now they just start more wars.

  • Only when Russia wins more land, until they reach the sea, peace talks will be talked about again.

Superpowers do not back down without gaining something in return.

The US president used to be the one to start talks instead of helping start more wars.

  • Look at what happened to: Finland vs Russia.

Let me know if it can apply to this current proxy war.

  • I thought that would be a good thing.

Foreign companies would be required for citizens to own part of that company. China did it first though, others can have a similar thing. In the US we forced tiktok to a certain degree.

Helps keep interests in the country it is in?

edit: fixed sentence strucuture, a bit

  • You may think that, but most that have looked at both sides and other wars have learned to not trust gov'ts so blindly.

We remember what is pushing China and Russia into more conflicts, while the poor die for the military industrial complex.

    Profit over people as always.

Just to be clear, Putin and his oligarchy of henchmen are the problem.

Regime wars do not help the people, it creates more death/starvation/migration and much more.

  • Great to hear people are helping each other in the worst of times!

“When one of our own is hurting, when one of our own is in need, this community, this county, this town rallies around people like I’ve never seen before,” McKinnon said.

  • Wow!

    Damn you THOR!

  • Many cat owners would agree, hahaha

  • These proxy war has helped push BRICS closer to each other, more than ever.

Keeps looking like another endless war, with our help (US), like always.
