  • What's the most unusual way you've made some extra money?

  • It took me a couple of months to find a new position, which I did eventually. The extra money was a nice jumpstart as I had to move across the country. Since I lacked any work experience at that time, the potential employers who interviewed me didn't ask for that weird previous position and focused on my qualifications and college projects.

  • Got my first "real" job with a kind of mediator. Their customer wanted me for their project. I got my contract signed with the mediator as my employer. Then their customer was bought by someone and they cancelled their contract with the mediator about a day before I would've begun to work. I was already under contract though. The mediator tried to find another customer who could make use of my skills.

    They failed to find one and had to let me go. But I was effectively employed by them for three weeks and got my first pay check literally doing nothing for it.

  • How many of you young adults here still live with parents/relatives?

  • I'm 32 and live with my mother again. I lived in other places for about 10 years. Got a remote job, wanted to move closer to family and friends, and failed to find a proper apartment for an affordable price. Luckily I have the privilege of my parents possessing a fairly big house, so we moved in and live rent free.

    My household is full of Legos, plushies, little cute collectibles, consoles, board games... And there's no children. People should enjoy whatever they want to enjoy, no matter the age or gender or whatever.

    We only judge people who don't understand how serious we take playing "Make believe".

  • I live next to a forest and they're free roamers. When I go for a walk, they often accompany me and stay close by on their own.

  • I've found a giant chicken of the woods polypore on an oak while hiking with three cats. A week later the oak broke apart and was blocking the street for me on my bike.

  • I think you are speaking of Shadiversity. The two used to collaborate on stuff. Then Shad fell out of favor for his conservative takes and now rambles on his own about how the woke takes over the world.
