  • Use SmartTube on Android TV and Fire TV. Cast from Brave browser on Apple TV or Roku.

  • [Google] will shove ads in your face [literally any time any place they can get away with it]

    Fixed title

  • Cool, thanks! Something I've been meaning to try out.

  • Which one? Something paid or self hosted?

  • I like Thunder too, especially since it's cross platform on Android and iOS / iPadOS. I get the same user experience on my phone and my iPad.

  • Fellow Moto chop and twist gestures 💪🏻

  • I hope this cinema (or the chain it belongs to) goes out of business. What a hostile way to treat your customers.

  • I personally recommend the stable version. It has integrated Adblock and sponsorblock. The dev is very responsive when issues arise like YouTube breaking stuff.

  • These days they would be using an esim rather than a physical sim.

  • Just rebuild with a later apk with revanced manager

  • Who cares what this sexual predator has to say? Nope

  • It is, but like so many things in our current landscape, it's also exhausting.

  • I did hit enter, but only once. Markdown needed 2 enters to not carry to the next return, at least in this app (thunder). I added a second return and it should display correctly now.

  • Fixed

  • it’s not supposed to be

That's the issue. That might be fine for you, but for others we would like it to be. The limitation isn't hardware, so let the users decide whether they want it to be more than a big iPhone.

  • Thanks for the reply. I guess I haven't had that happen to me yet with videos I'm looking for again having gone private.

I'm also not interested in crappy, privacy-invading, ad-shoving YouTube apps, which is why I mentioned SmartTube. In case you haven't heard of it, it's FOSS and has AdBlock & SponsorBlock integrated. It's designed for TV use. If Tube Archivist fits your need though, that's great.
