  • Absolutely! I feel like they actually have the opposite effect here in Lemmy. People seem to read the click bait title and just down vote without engaging at all. I might need to start tweaking the titles when I post them here.

  • Now you buy it and try it yourself, if you're interested. You can return the game if it's not too your liking after the first hour of play.

  • What? Ignoring that screwdrivers where invented after the hammer, what exactly should this tell me about AI?

  • It's an old WW1 or WW2 story. They were constantly trying to improve their planes and thus analyzed the returning planes to figure out where they needed more protection. However, as the story goes, they did not account for the fact that the bullet holes where only in non-critical spots, because the planes that got hit on critical spots did not come back.

  • There are people with imposter syndrome, who you wish would say more and then there are people with overinflated self confidence, who just won't shut up.

  • The viewers aren't the game masters, though. I honestly wouldn't want to participate in a game where I have to retain the attention of people without giving them anything of value. I think at some point those who participate also need to take some responsibility.

  • I don't know if I would call it an incel site. Isn't it just generally "edgy" humor with an IT/nerd slant? Meaning they straddle the line between dog whistle racism and mysogeny and going full mask off.

    That reminds me: 9gag

  • Lovely, always great to read well thought out comments by people who took the time to try and understand what's being said instead of going by the headline and their preconceived notions.

Also love the language, really makes me want to participate more in this community!

  • Lost my driver license. Searched for a while, then decided I'm going to get a replacement. I seldom drive, anyway. Never got around to it until 4 years later I got a letter that it was found. Saved 70€ doing nothing!

  • I really like (most of) game of thrones, but it's a tough watch at times for sure. Breaking Bad on the other hand seemed to be nothing but a tough watch. Stopped watching when the mom starts smoking while pregnant. It was just too much, unrelenting misery for me. I can see it's a really well made show, that deserves the praise, but I just can't stomach it.

  • I think it's hissing like noises in general that cats find upsetting

  • I recommend Radio Paradise! It's an independent online radio stream with a great, eclectic selection and no ads, except the occasional reminder that they are donation financed. It's honestly one if not the best radio stream there is.

  • What's going on with that bottle? It's ai generated, isn't it?

  • Just randomly got this recommended today. Really enjoyed it and now I have a new channel to binge through :D

  • I mean Ubisoft has probably tens of thousands of ex employees

Honestly, I don't understand people who post "normal" stuff here. Aren't there more suitable places? Or is it to maximize reach or fake internet point gathering?

  • I feel like your title, text and spoiler are talking about three different things. There are many types of anxiety that can be tackled differently.

You already got good tips for most, so I'm going to concentrate on your spoiler text: When you are too high, I recommend chewing coffee beans. They act calming on those cases.

As for your existential anxiety: You might want to continue that train of thought to it's conclusion: Eventually everything ceases to exist. Nothing is permanent. Everything is in flow. All that is, all that matters, is now. This moment. And all you need to do is live it.

  • I don't think you can say anything to him that will convince him. The more you will try to convince him the more resistance you'll get. That's just how it is with media. You can't make people like it, if they aren't up for it. Maybe try again in a year or two
