  • I'm a recruiter, this is 100% their default rejection template. It's pretty standard, but at least they let you know! I've been looking for a new role lately and you're lucky to get that DQ email and not just ghosted.

  • I'm convinced the whole Dutch directness thing is just a marketing ploy to put a positive spin on their poor communication and apathy.

  • Probably what led me to being vegan. I can't stand the hypocrisy of some animals deserving compassion and others not. I also work for a company in sustainability/energy transition, and the amount of people who "care" about sustainability and the environment and yet still drool when they see a steak is too high.

    I'm vegan, btw.

  • In case you don't know: https://www.pessmokepatch.com/

Standalone modded PES, updated rosters with no purchase required as old pes is essentially abandonware

  • This is what it's like going to any event in the Netherlands.

  • Not one vegan thing on the menu, he really has no idea who his market is lmao.

  • Lmao looked at this guy's post history and the tankie vibes are strong, literally only Russian propaganda in there.

  • My company has recharge days, basically a separate PTO budget you can use at any time for any reason. I use them so I can go to the beach because it's always fucking raining during the weekend in NL.

  • I've been hearing about lab grown teeth for decades at this point. Cool to hear progress regardless though

  • I'm an American living in Europe for almost 10 years and haven't been stateside since like 2018. I've been homesick a lot recently, but I'm trying to come to terms that there's a real chance I'm never going back.

  • And let me guess, the Russians who fled to America to claim asylum will have their cases expedited and approved.

  • Your best bet is to go through companies that are interesting relevant and find someone who is a hiring manager or has something in common with you. Once you find them, send them a nice LinkedIn message explaining how much you love the company/product/culture and if they are interested in having a coffee chat.

Basically, you gotta get past the gate keepers (recruiters) and you'll find things open up. Most recruiters are fucking shit (especially at mega corps) and are just looking to check boxes. Go around them.

Source: I'm a tech recruiter whose moved from America (at the start of trump's first term) to multiple European countries without a plan in place.

P.s. have a look at the Netherlands, there's a lot of need for talent and quite a few companies will sponsor if you meet the income reqs.

  • The Helios 44 58/f2 should be on here as well, but that's one of the more obvious options.

I actually just bought a speed booster to get rid of the crop factor on my aps-c Sony a6000, really excited to try it out and get more of that swirly bokeh.

  • Real Estate is dope though

  • I thought it was just me! I almost never have BO, unless I'm wearing polyester. Sitting for 8 hours in a football shirt is like equivalent to me not showering for a week.

    I don't understand it.

  • I was just on the Turkish coast and to my surprise, I found an ING atm. "Sweet, its my bank so I shouldn't have any fees!" I said to my boat driver (who only speaks Turkish).

    They charged me like 3%.

  • Nts.live Internet Radio made by music nerds and I love it

  • And that quite a lot of Ukrainians support Israel and don't see the similarities between their struggle and the Palestinian's — I don't get it.

E: and to the down voters, I am Ukrainian diaspora and lived in Kyiv until the war and visit regularly. I have these conversations frequently when I'm there.

  • This is called "double tap strike" and was a tactic used frequently during the American invasion of Iraq & Afghanistan. They learned from the best, unfortunately.
