    I don't think it means what you think it means.

    That's the beauty about languages, they evolve with the needs of the populace that uses them.

    In this context, no, language does not evolve. It adapts to the way it is being used.

    I certainly would not like to reach a point where we must use doublespeak-eske language to communicate with certain people, but it feels like we are heading there.

    That is limited to english vocabulary I guess. In spanish there are distictions between salchichas, chorizos, longanizas, etc, and all of them are their own kind of "embutidos". So in spanish, it would make sense to name it "embutido de guisantes"

    Similarly with milk. I know you may milk nuts (jk), but not the "frutos secos" kind. How would you milk an oatmeal? A grain of rice?

  • I have already (kind of) implemented this by programming a shortcut into my keyboard, and it was working ok until this week, that I found some "ai asisted" conference apps mute you in-app when they detect your mic being muted for some time, and do not un-mute you afterwards

    I hope this push to talk feature solves that

  • .nfo files are text files, so it fits your requirement. Media players, like Jellifin, reads those focusing on certain tags, ignoring the unrelated ones so you just can make up your own, even write plugins (for jellifin lets say) that could render said tags in your player

  • Afaik, ISPs retain access to their provided equipment in order to troubleshoot. With this in mind, looks like they made some changes on your router/ont remotely fixing the original issue, but somehow they either not saved such changes, or your router/ont reverted to defaults after the power cycle.

    If you have access to the equipment, take a look at every configuration on the device and take notes, then get the isp reconfigure and then compare.

    If this is the case, your device may be faulty. Verify by powercycling it again, and atk for a replacement (if applies)

  • Those specs seems decent at first glance, but my bet is that the bottleneck will be the storage, if you are using a hard drive still. If you use an ssd, or change to one, then your performance may be greatly improved

    I think you could run Steam on that build, I used to play Supertux cart, and have not played 0AD in ages

  • Yep, it is possible, you have to look for the proper addon. Iirc, there are 2 ways of setting it up, one fully syncs on kodi startup, and the other just the diff.
