It’s a 32 year old format that makes pictures worse in order to save space. A lot changes in the tech works in 30 years. While there may be nothing inherently wrong with it, there’s far better image encoding algorithms these days that can store images in less space without reducing the quality as much.
Prime video survives because it’s bundled in with free shipping and several other included services. I couldn’t imagine paying for prime video in its current form if I had to pay extra for it.

The economy concern is straight up the issue, but the twist is that it has to be the economy as seen by people who don’t understand or don’t care about macro economics. Now the carryover of those measures combined with the long-term bad but short term positive jolts of the next trump administration is going to increase buying power for just long enough for Donnie boy to take credit.

Misogyny likely played a small factor. AZ for example has trump up by a couple percent, but also Kari Lake down a couple percent. And her whole platform was “whatever helps trump”. The numbers aren’t huge, but it’s likely at least part of that gap.

Months (years?) ago I read something about how they are planning to tackle helmet laws in court because of this. Accident safety features are heavy, this thing is going to be a death trap on US roads in order to be as light as possible.

Yes. Stretched a little longer and taller, and obviously combined with an Edge, but it does hit some of the styling points.
Interesting thing about brands, the owner of the brand gets to decide what they do with it.
The Mustang-ness of the MachE is forced, it definitely pulls some styling from the sports car brand, but it’s not obvious. But the Mustang is the closest ICE vehicle to the MachE performance wise. Ford is trying to show that EVs are sportier than people think. Drive a MachE, a Mustang, and an Edge (the other car the MachE takes styling from) and you’ll know why it’s got ponies on the badges instead of ovals.

Seems like we won’t have any issues unless you depended on the app for something. The chargers will still work, we just won’t be able to do anything with the app. Sucks if you used software to lower the amps or schedule for TOU or whatever. Better turn those features off, or maybe they’ll turn themselves off. Can’t really tell what will happen there based on the press release.

This completely glosses over the periods of times, in some cases decades, where none of those things happened. The Cold War was winding down when I started school and we never did a duck and cover. I graduated the year Columbine occurred so they didn’t institute active shooter drills till after. I’m in one of the lucky few age ranges where my biggest anxiety at school was bullies. This period of school my kids are in is very much worse than when I was in their equivalent grades.

Driving the F150, or even the MachE, we just have to take two spots most of the time. It feels wrong but it’s what Tesla recommends for non teslas. I’ve only used SC a handful of times, but usually get lucky and grab an end cap or the side mounted charger when available.
A membership and an account are two different things. I have a Tesla account, and pay about $0.56/kWh at local SCs. If I dropped $7 or so per month on a membership, it would cost me about $0.36/kWh. I don’t because I don’t use them often enough. I have had them derate to 70kW but it was 115F in the middle of the desert, don’t know if it was my car or the charger that was dropping the speed, either way it seemed reasonable at that temperature.
This is correct, and this part of the system works fine. What should have happened though is a population break point where a state has to break up if they exceed a certain population. CA should be at least 3 states. New York needs a split as well, probably a few others. There is no way a state can serve its population well when the population is measured in the tens of millions.
