  • They don't relly know better. Windows is familiar, Linux sounds too complicated and techy. Hell, I was thinking the same and I'm reasonably tech savvy. It's infinitely more friendly than I'd ever expect.

People are afraid of change and unknown. Though ironically Linux might actually be closer to the original Windows experience that Win11 is (speaking from my limited experience with Mint)

  • You are correct, but on the other hand it doesn't hurt to make the average person aware of alternatives.

Can be especially effective when the person buys a new PC and needs to do all the stuff you mention anyway. Yes, it is still a new OS, but honestly, it's not that different - especially if the person remembers older Windows versions, it might just feel like going to familiar places (I know this is something my wife would really apreciate as she hates the constant changes of how things look). Obviously depends on distro, only have experience with Mint.

I'm saying this from a position of a resonably tech savvy, but not your average tech nerd (at least knowledge wise lol). Sure there are differences under hood but I don't think the average user would really notice them that much.

  • I was very surprised how smooth it actually is as well. I was not clear how Wine works for nom-Steam games but once I learned about Heroic launcher and Lutris it was pretty much smooth sailing so far.

I thought I will use Linux every now and then, instead I never booted Windows ever since installing Mint.

  • it was a punishment for the Jews killing Jesus

This is peak logic. Glorify Jesus becasue "he died for our sins" but demonize Jews for killing him... Bitch, if they didn't kill him you lack key aspect of your religion!

  • Wasn't it the other way around? Studio making the game and Sony buying them because they saw potential?

Anyway, fron what I saw the gameplay is really tight, it's everything around it that is not so good. Slap a 40$ pricetag on it and you end up like this

  • Depends on a dog. Many cities now have dog parks nd you can still take them out of the city.

Dogs are social animals bred for hundreds of years to be our companions. Most will be happy to be inside on a couch with their human, rather than outside alone (obvioualy not exclusively, they need the walks and free time. And every dog may have different needs).

  • Sounds more about bad owners (not having their dog on a leash, not respecting others personal space, or not pickingnup the dog shit) than about dogs.

  • Serious question - since when do pills have taste?

  • The more the better

  • Ente is an awesome Google Photos alternative.

RiMusic is a great Youtube music frontend.

Tubular is a NewPipe fork with sponsorblock that I currently enjoy. Used LibreTube but Piped was fucked for me for awhile.

  • I think that was the joke

  • I saw a video on this and this is pretty much how I remember it explained.

  • Seconding antlers which someone mentioned, great for chewing. Otherwise it's mostly various plastic toys unfortunately. Rope toys are nice as well, because we got more mileage from them. Once he chewed through them, he ended up with two smaller toys which usually survived a bit longer though.

Stuffed toys are useless, lobotomied in minutes. Which is a shame because second dog would enjoy having them :(

  • I mean... they took Krym, West did nothing. So clearly they tried again on a grander scale.

  • If he hired him he would have to have infinite faith in his sharpshooter capabilities

  • Incoming calls I can handle. But me calling somewhere? Hell naw!

  • If I get woken up by my dogs, 99% of the time its them barking at a random thing. So would wake me up wherever they are in the room.

I sometimes barely fit in the bed with them, but I like them there.

  • They need to make it nice first, to reel people in. Once they are in and invested, that's when ads start.

  • There are normal cheeses, there are lactose free cheeses and vegan cheeses as well. I think that's all possible bases covered? Beside, cheese is delicious (I have yet to have a delicious vegan cheese but I'm told they exist - probably didn't get here yet or too pricey for me - but that's beside the point :D).

I vote cheese day, your logic is bullet proof.
