  • This guy gets all his experience with Canadians from the internet

  • That's just the first thing that came to mind, huh? Tell me you wasnt to control women's bodies without telling me.

  • I mean, I did say that it depends on the product. And based on the things you listed, maybe you're not the demographic that seeks out the quality items that the US does make? Like hiking boots, for instance: several companies based in the US make incredible boots. Textiles in general as well: usually when a garment is made in the US, it's a really good quality item.

I also have a good set of screwdrivers made in the US that I use often to restore sewing machines. Cutlery and dishes as well.

These are things just off the top of my head 🤷‍♀️

  • Is that so? In my experience (obviously it depends on the company) American made is, like, one of the gold standards? I've never had issue with American made things 🤷‍♀️

Again, I'm sure it depends on the product, and I may just have bias because I meticulously research just about everything before I buy, so I may just be buying the really good US made stuff, and most other things are crap, idk. Just like Germany and Japan have things that they really excel in; Australia too, etc.

  • It's a dog whistle for punishing black and brown people, like everything else

  • Y'all are all sleeping on Sarazanmai. Weird, but lives rent free in my head

  • I do feel like arguing semantics at almost all times steals some energy from the movement overall

  • Stop, he's already dead 😭

  • The study also said that people with children felt more fulfilled over all 🤷‍♀️

They measured basically immediate happiness and long term happiness. In immediate happiness, the child free group won. In longterm happiness, the parents won. Did a lot of research into that before deciding to have a baby.

Just gotta decide what works best for you and your life style

  • Happy, yes. Stinky, also yes.

  • Unfortunately, those players make so much money that it moves them into the big club that we ain't in. Not a lot of class/race solidarity there, from what I've seen...just solidarity with whatever gets them paid.

Which I guess makes sense. The sport itself is extremely predatory, preying on young, very poor (usually) black men, offering them the promise of wealth they wouldn't normally have access to—if they just sell their bodies and physical health to the wealthier white men who own them. So they work their asses off all through high school and college to hopefully have the chance at the NFL; joining the league literally becomes the culmination of their life's work.

Not many want to actually rock that boat.

  • Same here

  • If that's all that happens, I'm not sure how I'll feel about him going forward. Isn't he meant to be the thinking man's rapper? Kind of an educated leftist type? For him to accept a Superbowl halftime show and not be planning ANYTHING would make so much of his work and messaging become hollow to me.

On the other hand, idk what he would even do besides saying 'fuck Trump'. That would be the weakest, most watered down shit, but you're 100% right, that's the state of things.

  • Interested to see if Kendrick is gonna have ANYTHING to say about the state of things at his performance at the halftime show.

  • I get mine in bulk at Costco so I never run out

  • Being elected didn't give blanket permission to destroy the state itself.

  • Is this related to the doomsday iceberg that recently broke free? Basically the giant cork holding back the entire ice sheet?

  • Okay, I'll try it like this. The next thing I was going to try was sticking them in a box, individually packed in newspaper. I think straw is what was used in ye olden times, but newspaper would be easier to source these days

  • Mine are stored in their bag, too, but seem to go mushy after two weeks, so I have been looking for other solutions. Is there anything in particular you're doing when storing them in their bag?
