I am the developer of Summit for Lemmy.

  • My SO wears his but I don't wear mine.

  • I don't remember why but I bought a $50 manual pencil sharpener that came with own leather carrying case. When it arrived I opened it and there was just a regular brass sharpener inside so I returned it. I was actually relieved when it wasn't the item I ordered and had an excuse to return it.

I guess I don't have anything to regret.

  • 🤔

  • Added more broth this time, and broccoli because I thought it was a bit unhealthy :D:

  • Yeah I used to (and still do) do that. I have a cabinet filled with instant noodles. These days because I cook so often I don't usually make instant noodles but it is a great emergency meal or for when I'm lazy or just craving it.

Making ramen from scratch can be a tedious process and even I don't do it 100% from scratch since I am using store bought noodles. To justify the time, you pretty much have to make way more than a single portion for it to be "worth it" in my opinion. The good thing is a lot of the parts of ramen can last a long time in the fridge or freezer so you can make like 10 servings of ramen, freeze it, and then enjoy it whenever you want. I tend to eat it through the week though so I will keep most of the stuff in the fridge.

  • Yeah it was good. I'll adjust the broth for next time :).

  • This might go without saying but to add to this you need to find a place to meet up with people with those hobbies somehow. I had hobbies but wasn't meeting anyone since I just did those hobbies alone. You essentially need to find a "3rd place" and hobbies is one way to achieve that. However you can also do things like volunteer and other things to find that 3rd place.

  • I was skeptical too until I got one. I don't know how much technology it actually uses but I will say ever since I started using it my rice has come out p. much the exact same every. single. time. It's like magic. The consistency of the results of this thing compared to a $10 rice cooker is insane.

I'm not like scientifically measuring the water or rice either. I just use a japanese rice cup and eyeball the water.

  • If anyone else really enjoyed the dark topics and themes of Bojack Horseman I highly recommend trying to read Goodnight Punpun. It's a "slice of life" manga that goes through similarly dark themes with a lot of depth, excellent writing and beautiful artwork. In my opinion it is a must read for anyone who enjoys this sort of stuff.

  • No I have not and I will continue to pretend they don't exist. First and foremost IMO the FLCL story was a complete story on it's own with beginning and end, so I don't exactly understand why they made more instead of just making a new anime. Second, I heard the new seasons were not nearly as good. I do listen to the new pillows music though so a new Pillows album is a silver lining I guess.

  • I make my own vibes 😔

  • It could be photoshop. Let me cope. /s

  • Minecraft.

I didnt grow up with it and non of my friends had played it. I always thought it was a kids game. During covid a friend started a server and I joined in. I was surprised by the depth of the game and just how much there was to do.

  • Wow. Who is downvoting the joke answer.

  • Since everyone already recommended what I was going to recommend, I'm going to say fuck it. I'm going to recommend FLCL. It's not the best anime ever but it is extremely unique and has some of the best music of any anime. And both the anime's sub and dub are great. If you speak english I'd recommend the dub. The series is only 6 episodes. This anime has aged like wine for me with each subsequent viewing making the anime better and better.

For my favorite comedy (more "haha" comedy), it's gotta be It's always sunny in philadelphia.

  • They got suspended like the last week of school. Yeah I have no idea what the point of the punishment was. Honestly the guy would have gotten away with it too if he didnt brag to everyone about what he did.

  • Someone did something like this in our year book for their graduation message and got suspended lmao

  • IT SAVES WATER /s

  • I didn't hate it but I didn't like it either. It does nothing for me 😞
