  • Just a lengthy text to collect some of my thoughts.

I can't think of any reason but the bomb if one has 60%+ Uran in bigger quantities and rockets with the ability to carry 2 tonne warheads. They did some steps on that road, it seems to me.

And there is that regime's head with that one idea of an almight being that you have to please. And his will to cling to power in Iran no matter what. Makes you think if that guy seeks redemption in the next world in which case, destroying Israel and getting annihilated in return is the logical course. Or if he seeks to keep his power in this world which would forbid that. Or first one thing and then the other - he's not the yougest anymore.

The regime in Iran shouldn't be in place. But what action to take is for their people to decide. It's hard to near impossible for the people of Iran to overthrow that regime. But that doesn't legitimate an attack. (It wouldnt free the people or would it? Who would fill the void if the regime is gone?)

If I imagine myself on the opposite side of the table on Iran's side, there is not much reason to trust the US and I would seek for ways to arm myself.

Also having the option of building the bomb is a bargaining chip for them. Even if you wouldn't intend to go through with it.

And then there is the statement of the US secret service that Iran is not even close to the bomb. (Like Irak didn't have WMD but it was the US' casus belli for the war. Iran supported the US back then btw., but it didn't help their relations.)

And then there is the chain of actions and events in favor of Israel (Hisbollah weakened, Syria's regime overthrown and their air force destroyed) which lead to the opportunity to attack the now weakened Iran. Having those Israeli agents inside Iran and the attack plans in place tells me, that is has been planned for months or years. Same goes for the Hisbollah pagers.

I'm not in favour of any war - It didn't help Afghanistan or Irak much, it only stirs unrest but doesn't help the people. So sanctions against Israel would be the way to go. I don't think Iran will have the A-bomb armed and ready soon. And I want Iran to have democratic or at least secular gouvernment, which can't be achieved from the outside, only. But I'm sitting at the side line and have not much at stake here.

  • The eyes do it for me.

  • No. I want my max. 25°C back. And a cloudy sky please. Maybe some fog or rain for the mood and Petrichor?

  • Iove it! :)

  • What? Where? Who?

  • Umm... Maybe. :)

  • Ever heard the sound of children on a school yard? They might scream but they are not in pain - most of the time. It's their way of communication, I heard.

Same goes for construction sites. It's just the worker's outdoors voices. They use it for long distance information transfer.

  • Cleanup crews used salt water from a fireboat to wash away the molasses and sand to absorb it,[17] and the harbor was brown with molasses until summer.[18] The cleanup in the immediate area took weeks,[19] with several hundred people contributing to the effort,[7]: 132–134, 139 [15] and it took longer to clean the rest of Greater Boston and its suburbs. Rescue workers, cleanup crews, and sight-seers had tracked molasses through the streets and spread it to subway platforms, to the seats inside trains and streetcars, to pay telephone handsets, into homes,[6][7]: 139  and to countless other places. It was reported that "Everything that a Bostonian touched was sticky."[6]

  • Who doesn't. It's common sense.

  • No real tips from my side. Just my experience.

Yes I have been snoring since childhood. tried CPAP because not feeling well rested after a full night of sleep. Helped against the snoring, not so much against the fatigue (maybe a bit).

Sleeping too long (8h+) makes the fatigue worse.

CPAP and movement during sleep: I postioned the device above the bed's head end so that the hose doesn't get in the way and attached the mask a bit tighter so it doesn't make noises or come lose when moving. Works okish.

Coffee + routine + sports make me go. Sometimes...

  • Good.

  • Exposing Jellyfin/ plex through routing or SNAT plus dyndns would be a cheap option.

As soon as one rents a VPS (to expose the selfhosted at home service through routing/ tunneling) it would cost at least 2€/ month?

  • I'd say, perfect.

  • I learned the term sovcit. Interesting concept, it isn't mine though.

You sound angry because there are multiple point of views for a thing and I don't agree with your pov. I think i get the gist of your reply. But without arguments this discussion is bound to go nowhere.

You say I'm wrong by using adblocking. You didn't tell why.

    • depriving content creators of their revenue. Yes. One should think about supporting them through donation platforms like Patreon. They get money from direct marketing (holy...) - I'm fine with that (no JavaScript, no tracking, I can skip ahead since I got the message the first time).
    • depriving YouTube of the money they need to run their CDN. Partially. Bandwidth usage, maintenance costs. Should I mention that youtube sells/ licenses servers to ISPs... So they get paid by me, indirectly.
    • TOS I didn't sign anything, there is no contract between me and YouTube. Or is there one?

Edit: this is not about me wanting you to take my view or wanting to be convinced by you. You may disagree or even despise me. That's fine.Everyone has to decide for himself what's right and wrong and life with it. And maybe I have to rethink my decisions if there are aspects I didn't take into account or if I lied to me to justify my decisions.

  • Umm.... Maybe. Let's take a look.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/267606/quarterly-revenue-of-google/:

In the first quarter of 2025, Google's revenue amounted to over 89.52 billion U.S. dollars, up from the 79.97 billion U.S. dollars registered in the same quarter a year prior.

    ... They'll survive.

I guess the content creators take the hit when users block ads or refuse to use premium.

Edit: your addendum is false. Technically YouTube freely delivers (answers http gets and posts), the user just refuses to watch all of their content or take part in the tracking. No broken windows or climbed fences.

  • Impressive. :)

One question: where does it hide its second foot?

  • What's the cat ranch?
