  • Yeah, I remember he discussed it recently, I believe as a guest on another show. Maybe the May 1 Bad Hasbara, ep 104?

Specifically it was about something he posted immediately after Oct 7. Nebula wanted him to at least partially walk it back, say something both-sids-ish, "condemn Hamas", something along those lines. Seemed like Nebula was pretty afraid and wanted to CYA basically. JT went back and forth with them a bit by email and then decided to leave instead. He made it sound as amicable as possible given the circumstances, but my impression personally was that he was softening the story to some degree, out of professionalism/courtesy (which I recall he has done in discussing other past disagreements as well, eg with CPUSA.)

  • JT was (I believe?) the only one willing to walk away from Nebula over Palestine.

  • I hope they get shot in the knee, so one of their coworkers can explain that when walking only one leg is load-bearing at any given time, so they're fine actually.

  • ParallelogramBison

  • If our enemies want to give us credit, I say we accept at least a little bit

  • I don't know if it has a specific label, but "not well" is definitely a correct starting point

  • Doom? Misery? Dread? Bitterness? The whole thing is organized around how she feels. And incidentally never even considers a Palestinian perspective or experience.

  • Someone gotta keep an eye on the beans even when it's boring

  • Hate it when people keep trying to politicize my job of house minority leader

  • low-salt diets were actually associated with higher rates of heart disease, stroke, and death than diets with moderate amounts of sodium.

Also, hospital food associated with higher rates of cancer

  • Reading this gave me a micro-stroke, going to have to lie down and self-induce a nano-coma before I commit a pico-omnicide on this guy specifically

  • Bringing back manufacturing, but with no planning and no investment

  • Ireland is like the only English-speaking country that isn't cooked. Possibly NZ as well. Immigration is somewhat difficult for either (basically average difficulty for "western" countries) so might be easier to just learn a second language & leave the "west" entirely.

  • Euro arms industry is apparently even more of a deindustrialized neoliberal grift than the US arms industry.

  • Yeah but he's doing it in a seedy, oafish way, the grifts are supposed to involve consulting firms and nonprofits and blind trusts, it's supposed to be too boring for people to notice. Doing a grift-fest as a tv spectacle really infuriates the people working at the consulting firms and nonprofits and whatnot, who thought their system was too good to fall like this.

  • So a voter base of maybe 50k people?

  • I'm sorry I did not benefit from my actions in the way I anticipated

  • They mentioned naval reactors as well, do those require higher levels?
