  • At least for me, as a former trot, it's like 70% a joke. A lot of them are either cranks or NATO-leftists (or both) but a lot of them are also basically normal

  • Discord is shit and I hate it, but it's still better than the other large platforms

  • I think a lot of that is because of size as well. Your post won't get buried under 20 copies of the same cliche joke (one with 850 upvotes, one with 23, and the rest at +1 or +2) everything is actually read by at least a few humans somewhere, and everything is presumably also written by humans.

  • I believe there are methods to train on a large, general dataset, and then re-train on a small, focused dataset, but I'm not sure of any specifics

  • Oh shit a follow up question, what do I do?

  • To me, it seems like Tucker is willing to sacrifice certain factions of the bourgeoisie for the sake of rationalizing the system. He's previously had some sharp criticism of landlords and other unproductive rent-seekers, for example. Some over-inflated tech nerd who just wasted a trillion dollars or whatever is exactly the kind of guy he would sacrifice for his greater project. He's willing to break a few eggs while everyone else in power is so easily captured by small factions of capital and niche interests that they're completely unable to solve any structural problems. And it's obviously smart politics as well, everyone fucking hates these parasites. Tucker probably would actually make the trains run on time, by disciplining labor but also capital when needed. I think he's the only prominent figure who both realizes this and seems willing to follow through.

  • I think he's also too normal? Or like the wrong type of weirdo? He's a briefcase-at-school kid in a world of irony-poisioned 4-chan fascists. He no longer appeals to anyone under 40.

  • I had him grouped in the meme-tier with crowder and tim pool, but after seeing all this I think he was actually a level or two above them. Probably above Shapiro but below, say, Tucker Carlson; notably Shapiro is on the decline and Kirk was apparently on the ascent.

But yeah I think most of the left was on the same page, just thinking of him as an unremarkable media bigot who looked slightly uncanny.

  • But if they're falsely arresting "similar" people that's probably also good enough for their purposes

  • I think this is the most likely theory, but we probably won't know for sure until we get the discord chat logs. Interesting that there was so little info given on those so far.

  • Don't count on it though. That's one big reason why they're so interested in AI. It may not work that well, but could still be good enough in a lot of cases.

  • Yep, parallel construction

Although in this case it looks like they didn't need it

  • Picked 30-06 to have room for whole ass shit posts on the casings

  • FBI overslept, now saying 10:00 (eastern)

  • Also keep in mind boards of regents are full of local bourgeois and the governor's idle relatives and whatnot. In most cases they would align ideologically with TP and don't really care about "the academy" in the first place, they're the people that have been gutting it for 50 years. They view it as a useful pool of financial assets and real estate with some annoying professors and students attached

  • Also, aren't they planning to have Korean experts re-build the US shipbuilding industry? Can't imagine this will help

  • Going to start seeing a lot fewer outdoor events by anyone

  • If they do have some not-yet-conclusive evidence, it's not like we'd know about it yet. Have to wait and see

  • 🧙‍♀️📈
