  • Yes and no. Apple managed to fuck that up using something called "notarized apps". Guess how many apps you can sideload? I think you have more than enough fingers to do that easily.

  • I orderes a new 5700x 2 days ago fearing they might vanish forever as there are probably only stocks left.

    I had one added for around 2 weeks in my amazon cart, but over here, in Spain, they went out of stock meanwhile, so I managed to order one from pccomponentes.com and I'm glad I did.

    I still get to keep my 32 Gb DDR4 for a couple more years, hopefully.

    Edit: Afaik there are no warranty issues if you flash stock rom before, which might make it harder if your hardware fails.

  • Fair. Those do deserve donations. I'm very interested in hardware that's able to compete with the likes of Apple and Pixels, but am reluctant to throw my money at dreams for now. I'm really rooting for more linux phones and would just ship in a heartbeat if they become viable.

  • This is true, however I've been cursed with using an iphone for a while and I had to find a decent alternative to firefox and ublock.

    Unfortunately Safari is horrendous, like anything software Apple makes really, but it's the only browser allowed to have extensions and Vivaldi is the only real alternative to it that work, as Firefox is terrible on ios.

  • I'm happy it got funded. I considered it for a bit myself, however I'm not convinced it can become anything other than a new Pine phone and such. Also, there are no specs, or anything of sorts to justify the asking price.

    I realy hope they managed to release this and make it a real competitor , however I'm skeptical.

  • Pretty soon Samsung is going to release a foldable that can become an imax screen. You just need to unfold it 1000 times, and you're set. It also needs to be unfolded 4 times to be able to answer a call, or use the 1.2 back screen to do that.

    When in doubt, just add more fold.
