I think these execs are trying to pump up the numbers then cash out. The pandemic and shift to remote work really scared the upper class when they realized people work just fine without them physically breathing down their neck every day.
For people that may be confused or possibly surprised, although MV3 is a shitty Google thing, Firefox should still implement widely used APIs so developers can still write code once that works on (most) any browser. Having to write a "Firefox specific" Web app or extension would cause friction and limit adoption.
Interesting aside, as I understand it, Spirit Aerosystem is the company that was ultimately contracted to repair the emergency exit door plug issue and failed to properly re-install the securing bolts when they were done.
Ah, it's fine. I think the important part is keeping these games runnable on modern systems. I think D2 resurrected did a pretty good job of this, and the time is right since Fallout seems to have exploded in popularity.
Haha right? Remember the Equifax breach? I think the security claim isn't genuine in intent, but I can believe that all else being equal, privacy violation does result in risk to security.
Even more reason to solve the underlying issues and hold companies accountable for how they handle privacy and personal information. Ideally I'd like to see the hoarding of personal data be somehow demonitized.
This is the wrong way to go about solving this problem IMO, but then again the problem they're trying to solve is more about security than privacy as a right.
Did these folks forget the response by trained officers in Uvalde? People also tend to not realize how chaotic and unstable an active shooter situation can be, even if it's just a suspected one. Putting all that responsibility onto the teachers should make everyone, parents and teachers especially, very nervous.
I don't have a horse in this race, I was making a joke that the difference in the games appears to come down to one having a sexy Lady and one generally doesn't AFAIK.
I believe Japanese gamers should have just as much access to Dead Space and any other American titles and vise-versa. I imagine the reasoning is along the lines of "video games make people violent" or something, but I think that should be a family or parental decision, not the government.
While I'm at it, I don't think pornographic or pornographic adjacent content should be available to minors, and I cringe at some of the stuff I see on the Nintendo or Playstation stores, that's probabaly my most conservative view.
I don't care for rich folk but the cops definitely got over zealous on this. The police are everyone's problem.
