Is this true? The series has had sequence breaks both intentional and otherwise in every game. I don't think they parched the ones out of Dread either.
No, really, if you understood how the language models work, you would understand it's not really intelligence. We just tend to humanize it because that's what our brains do.
There's a lot of great articles that summarize how we got to this stage and it's pretty interesting. I'll try to update this post with a link later.
I think LLMs are useful (and fun) and have a place, but intelligence they are not.
I think the writing is on the wall at this point. Console sales aren't great, and are losing their relevance. Most consoles share the same architecture and it looks like Microsoft is focusing more on making content much like Netflix does. That's probably why they bought (and will keep buying) big game studios and publishers.
Weird, I think the whole PC console game war was relevant when I was a kid and everything was new and cool, but I think at this point the whole "who's winning the console war" feels immature and is holding the industry back.
Like others have said, I don't really give a shit what content runs on, so as long as it runs. Better if things run well and I can take them with me like the deck.
You can make the argument about why it's better to play content on a PC but what's the point of the comparison? Why does it matter who is better? In an ideal world, everything would run great on affordable PCs that everyone has access to, but I don't think we're at that reality.
I don't know why our stupid ass congress and judicial system gets a pass on all these issues everyone is so passionate about. I'm not really a Biden fan but what do you want the man to do? Run a gulag? Trump started caging kids and we hated that, so what's the magical solution that exists outside of our legislative branch?
We paid over $320m for this water bridge that is sensitive to ocean waves because our allies won't let us ship stuff somewhere? Why are we sending these people money again? Is everyone dead fucking broke when they want to do military stuff? Ffs our military complex is a bad joke.
Some new competiton would be nice too. I remember when companies like Palm made their own competent OS. I wouldn't even mind if Windows mobile made a reappareance. What do people even need anymore except a versatile browser and the ability to play games?
I was getting into my car the other day and noticed someone getting out of their car and putting a pistol into their wasteband. Looked like they were going into a Buffalo wild wings or something. Like, are you gonna shoot someone in there or what?
My thing is, you're usually introducing a firearm into a situation where there likely wasn't one previously, and are putting at risk the lives of everyone around you. I own a firearm and I hope every day I never ever have to use it outside of recreation. Most gun owners are exceptionally irresponsible and don't give weapons their due respect, this is half the reason so many people get shot for no reason in the US.
So is that like, what gets the kids street cred? Windows XP usage?
Pretty cool I guess?
