  • So being only subtly disparaging of women...?

Because this ad copy for sure is.

  • Hello, I would like 1 Class Action please.

  • It's because they're entitled dickbag drivers. Which is funny because where BMWs are more common, Audi drivers are the entitled dickbags.

If I see a black Audi, I can guarantee that it will be a dangerously bad driver.

  • Ugh, I bet he never pressed CTRL + C or P in his life.

  • For a while I was using a VPN where the connections we all via command line. I loved it, because once you type it, it's just up up up to find that location again and swap around.

Now I have to use the mouse and click like a damn fool!

  • "You are simultaneously healthy and dying of cancer. We just need only observe you when you're healthy."

  • It's coming. Android just announced they are going to make devs ID themselves and prevent side loading, so all those great new open source front ends were just given a terminal diagnosis. For now.

The walled gardens are being walled in like medieval Carcassonne or Dubrovnik. Foreigners viewed with suspicion, only lifelong residents allowed full rights.

  • Exactly this. Reddit has some new (as of this year) metric about "post quality," called the Contributor Quality Score where you have to post a lot to keep it up. Low scores mean you are not a quality redditor worthy of having comments seen. So I'm soft-banned from many subs simply by virtue of not being in Reddit and makikg content for them enough. My favorite is /r/privacy, which now essentially discourages anyone guarding their privacy from participating.

Meanwhile, the AI slop bots have no problems with this metric. Me, as a real human? Pushed out. Fine, happy to oblige.

  • We are yogurt nation, the proud and sour!

  • Meta and reddit are going down the same path, making a safe so space for bots and AI sloppers that no real humans will be left.

  • It's an arms race. YT is hard to use, then someone comes up with a great new front end that works for a year, lather rinse repeat.

  • Thank you for your service.

Also, thank you for asking. Yes, I'm increasing, and I'm eating more salads now to help prevent it, OK?

  • In like 5 years we'll all have self-hostd LLM agents and you just send the lil' bastard on YT to scrape the audio in higher bitrates all over again. It'll be FINE.

I also have MP3s that are 20+years old at this point, and they were bad rips in the first place. Some of them from CDs that skipped during the rip. bitrot on this low quality MP3 I'm too lazy to re-get is on me.

  • Because you can be that douche that pipes up in a group to say "Well, according to Perplexity..." and genuinely think that makes you sound smart while everyone else just waits for you to stop talking.

  • I'll agree with mushrooms as an option, even though that's not really a protein.

Sausage, just get some decent sausage. The only thing that makes Gringocan "Italian" sausage "Italian" is some oregano, fennel, and maybe basil. You would want to take the sausage out of the casing anyway, so split the difference and as that to the sauce.

There's always plain chicken, maybe cooked with pancetta chucks white wine and rosemary, but at that point you're close to just having a pasta dish and a proper main.

  • But, do you mean like red clay bricks?

I mean specifically cement blocks like in the picture. I'm totally down with red clay bricks.

  • Hey, how about if we just stop putting literally everything in plastic?

  • No, it's a joke. Natalie was the whiny one in Facts of Life. As is having 37 Quora accounts. Quora is weird to me and I've never had an account. But I've also never had a search lead to an answer for anything on Quora that was actually correct.

  • Huh. Yeah, I have no problem with that, but I get you.

There's a kind of not refined pulp paper stock that was used to make cheap paperbacks, I've only seen it in older books from the 50s-70s, that does that to me. Only ever ran into it a few times, but if my fingernail touches it, it's worse than being electrocuted. Full body shivers and chills. Even thinking about it tenses me up.

You got that ASMR? Seems like there's some overlap between things like this, like you have some things you can't stand, some that send you into a trance, and they're infuriatingly close sometimes.
