  • Federal government is still shut down so the quarterly TANF payments didn't go out, and the usual shitty states won't cover food stamps from our own state budget.

    I'm fortunate enough to have savings to handle it, but it feels like this might just be too much stress on an already stressed system, because I'm now hearing basic suburban moms chatting about the kind of things I have only ever seen discussed online, and usually followed by the phrase "in minecraft".
