  • Did you just try to correct the title while admitting you have absolutely no idea if you're right? Also, none of those bands are anything alike. That's like saying "I don't like guitar music"

Keep your musical ignorance to yourself, man

  • I'm not going to argue if either is good or bad but that seems like a really arbitrary line to draw in the sand. You could argue that AI was necessary in the OP video to make a young Mick Jagger. You could also argue that your linked video used AI in the worst way - that it wasn't a tool to realize an artistic vision (clips they didn't deliberately generate were funny so they used them)

This video is a MUCH better example of genAI as a tool for art. I don't have the link handy but the Making Of video is crazy. They utilized AI to create the exact look they had in mind

  • Calling him the "no kings" hitman kind of implies he is on the left but it doesn't seem like that's what you meant. I imagine that's why you're getting downvoted

  • "no kings hitman"?

  • This is like me going to europe.pub's politicalmemes community and complaining that it's all about EU politics

  • Perhaps "cage" was the wrong word - I meant pets I have to corral to a specific location....but I would prevent my cat from going outside so maybe that's not it either lol

So I guess it's just back to my original point: I find the space and care accomodations required for birds to be much too inconvenient

  • I had to memorize all the most recent presidents in order. My teacher suggedting using a nemonoc device. I jokingly said "Her tech jiniff kirbicx" in a robot voice - HRTEKJNFCRBC

Hoover, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton

  • That's possible, too. My cat wasn't like that but I know my friend's cat is banned from the bedroom

  • Yeah but you don't know that until you get the cat. I have a ton of houseplants that would kill a curious cat, too.

  • I don't think I'll get another pet that requires a cage after hamsters! (My rabbits were raised like cats, litter trained and no cage)

  • I loved firmware modding on pre-smart phones! My first eBay purchase ever (with the help of my parents) was a USB cable for the ridiculously large port on my flip phone. I blew my friends' minds with my custom text on the front panel

  • What happens when it's "too late" for your chat software, though?

  • I get the analogy but it's just chat software. Discord isn't that important to me that it's going to be a tragedy when it boils and by then, there will (hopefully) be an equivalent alternative we can move to. If not, we'll use something "worse" and it'll be fine.

But until then, it's still the best by a wide margin even if it has a stupid nitro button.

  • I've owned most of the common furry pets (except guinea pigs and rats) and there's unique challenges with taking care of each of them. What is burdensome is also different for each person.

I love cats but I don't think I'd adopt another. I don't want to catproof my shelves nor my plants. I don't want to smell kitty litter either.

I love rabbits but same thing. I don't want to rabbitproof my house. I don't want to clean litter boxes. And most importantly, I don't want the hassle of finding someone to take care of them when I'm gone.

I love dogs and will probably stick to dogs. I like going on walks and sitting in the yard. I don't mind drying his paws off when it rains or walking the yard weekly to pick up his turds.

All pets are great. Animal companionship is the best.

  • Discord sucks but every alternative has some major caveat that makes it suck more. Most people don't want to use separate apps for voice and text. Most people don't want to manually type in servers to play games.

Not defending them at all here but there's no compelling reason for most users to change when discord works and it works well

  • Do they investigate beyond the reddit post and confirm the information?

  • They call the software "pretty cool" so many times it made me laugh out loud

  • Non sequitur
