  • I preserve them in oil. It takes a bit of time but so worth it! I just use the bigger ones for this and make salsa or enchilada sauce with the small ones.

    Green tomatoes in oil

Edit: you could just cut the small ones in half and do this. Hmmm, might try that next year.

  • This is a friend on mines life right now. I’m almost scared to pick up the phone when she calls. She’s always had an interesting life, it’s just crazy levels now.

  • I also had a deer hit me! It totally ran at the side of the truck, bounced off and then kept going back off the road. Was very weird.

  • Charlie Kirk’s wife

  • This one for sure! I have to turn it up every time it comes around in my playlists. It’s half in French, and I asked my Quebecois friend what he was singing and she wasn’t sure. Makes sense as I just discovered he’s Belgian when I went to get the YouTube link lol.

  • Hahahah… I have like 1200 hours and four different characters in Skyrim. Still haven’t finished it. The only game I’ve actually “finished” is AC Valhalla. And I’m now going back and doing all the DLCs.

  • Oooh, I like this one!

  • Yes!! I saw NIN this summer and man, he did not stop moving! It was an amazing show. Also my daughters first arena concert, she loved it!

  • lol!! I feel that in my soul!! I don’t like kids, especially babies. I joke I barely liked my own. But man, my daughter is just the fucking coolest, every day she got that little bit older and we could have more in depth conversations and do more together. (I know every parent says that, but you know)

I don’t remember having a lot of affection when I was a kid, it was either ignore me and expect me to be perfectly behaved, or intense scrutiny. No in between. So when I had my daughter I wasn’t going to be like that. Lots of hugs and cuddles and always telling her how much I love her exactly how she is.

  • I knew a couple that had four super easy babies in a row. Just delightful, sleeping through the night within a month of birth, no colic, easy like Sunday morning girls. So they went for one more. Had a boy that was the hardest baby in the world. Didn’t sleep through the night till 5, colic, had a nuclear reactors worth of energy in him. They said if that had been their first they never would have had a second.

You never know what you’re going to get. My daughter was ROUGH the first 9 months, hardest thing I’ve ever been through. But then it got a lot easier and every day was better. She’s 15 now and the coolest kid. We had planned to have a second but by the time we could even wrap our heads around it she could talk, so we asked her if she wanted a sibling. She thought about her two best friends, who are brother and sister and fought like mad, and said nah. I didn’t want to go through that first 9 months again so that was that. Really glad we did that, we’ve got such a great bond with the three of us.

  • Unearthing a half eaten apple somewhere in the house is the worst. Or orange peels! I keep telling my daughter, we live in the country, you’ve lived here your whole life, you know that’s just an invite (with a giant flashing welcome sign) for mice and bugs. Still find them.

  • lol, I like that way of explaining it. My boss and I had a chat once about how our brains work. She said hers is like a parking lot, she can just park an idea and then come back to it when she wants. I said mine is more like a malfunctioning bag of holding. All the info goes in but when you reach in to grab it most of the time it’s not at all what you went in for.

  • Thank you for your post! Could you explain about tomorrow? Specifically what you think will happen, or what is special about the day. It’s much appreciated!

  • Because the Blue Jays are part of Major League Baseball.

  • I never thought of it that way. Brilliant!

  • Not really. I only drink twinning earl grey, have a kettle on the stove all the time (most of the time with enough water in it already), and use the same mug all week. I’ve streamlined it so I don’t have to make any of those decisions. So more like

    1. Put water in kettle
    2. turn on stove
    3. grab tea bag from jar in front of my face
    4. put bag in cup already on counter
    5. smoke
    6. hear loud af whistle, come inside
    7. pour water
    8. Forget tea for a bit
    9. take out bag and drink
  • I feel like this all the time. Which is why I drink tea.

    1. Boil water (optional if desperate)
    2. Put tea bag in cup
    3. Pour water in cup

    Drink

Edit: I would drink a nice instant, but coffee makes me jittery anyways so tea is the way for me. I do have a nice instant coffee, but I only have a cup a few times a year.

  • They have that in Nanaimo too, it’s a separate ER next to the regular one. It’s not nearly as nice as that though.

  • My sailboat, 20k. More than I’ve ever spent on a boat (or a car), but very worth it to us. It’s our cabin, retirement home, project, and happy place. Of course, we discovered after that the previous owner, bless his heart, hadn’t sealed a cable running through the deck properly and now the whole cabin top is rotten. So that will be a big job to fix. Luckily I can fix that myself, but my heart definitely sank when I discovered it.
