  • Our dumbshit president will not see this poll nor this article.

But cool clickbait headline anyway from this site.

  • Little Rocket Lab is like Stardew + Factorio. It's chill and fun.

  • OK, cool, thanks. I'll check it out!

  • I tend to like Zen browser. It looks and feels a bit different, but to me that feels refreshing.

  • Meanwhile, after installing Linux on my laptop last week and getting that set up, I'm in the process of backing up data on my desktop to do the same soon.

And what are the good non-github sites these days?

  • Counterpoint: Someone can play up through Stormblood without having to buy anything.

But, yeah, I agree. I don't really want to think about how much I've spent on this one game over the last 12 years. But roughly spitballing:

    • ARR, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, Endwalker, Dawntrail...I'll say that's 6 x $40 (not accurate since I bought special editions for some and moved from PS3 to Pc so that's an extra cost there, too): $240
    • $13/m for 11 years (I've played ARR since launch but there have been some times where I turned off my sub for a little bit so I'll just knock off 12 months): 13 x 12 x 11 = $1,716
    • Various Mogstation purchases, roughly $40?
    • Total for me with this napkin math: $1,996

Woof. But, I do love the game and spent all weekend playing it just now. So there's worse things to spend money on.

  • Currently the best investment is in gas mask manufacturers, unfortunately.

  • Yeahhhhh 8K is going to be pretty far off considering we still get 1080p "enhanced" trash with YoutubeTV for sports games. It looks like ass on my good, 4K TV. I can't imagine that on an 8K display.

Though some sports - like the Unrivaled games on HBO - are of a higher quality, you just don't get that everywhere.

And that's just sports. Couple that with the fact that some people still have data caps, and I just don't see widespread adoption any time soon.

  • Easiest Polymarket bet ever.

  • There are moments where it feels great, like what you think Metroid Prime should feel like, but largely it's a pretty mediocre game, sadly.

It functionally feels good - the gameplay is solid. And it looks great. But it's soulless, and the story they try to put in there is pretty weak. Really unfortunate.

  • My maxim of "Never trust anyone wearing a cowboy hat that's not actively riding a horse" still holds true.

  • We just need to build a data center in these areas so genAI can think of a solution to this problem!

  • I'm less worried about a chain of custody as I am with them simply using ICE thugs to scare people away from the polling places.

Not everywhere in the country, but they'll try to use them "for security" in blue, multicultural cities and that'll fuck up the vote.

    That's my guess.

  • I have something like that, sorta. I work for a very tiny company (literally 4 people), and so we couldn't get a good insurance plan that covered vision and dental because insurance companies suck ass.

So my dentist has a thing where I pay a single price once a year and get 2 cleanings out of the deal. Though anything beyond that is still out of pocket.

  • The AI image is so shitty it couldn't even produce a rectangle. You can see near the bust on the table it's all fucked up.

I know that's beside the point, but I sure do hate AI.

  • Man, that'd be sweet.

  • Fully gouged.

  • Is there a shortage or is it just price gouging? We should be using the right terms.

I can go on Newegg right now and see tons of listings for Ram.
