    Seems a lot of hassle if you didnt dual boot than trying different version.

    But yeah, there's no "it just works" on Linux fot every person since it's always case by case basis

    I've used rapidseedbox and ultra.cc in the past, (one months each) and that's just because my server at home is down in the meantime.

    Idk how much automation you need and what can they provide though since I just manually load them when I use it.

    My recollection of rapid is nice, they have pre-installed tools like SFTP and your choice of torrent client.

    Like, most linux user seems to not understand that just being able to boot to other OS is witchcraft to the general population. Most of my friends never even heard of Linux. Their phone is the computer.

    I know nothing about both but since I suspect vtubbbing brached from anime subcultures I kinda get why they did.

    Streamer though, I weirdly should be their demographic but I'm not.

    I'm an avid gamer, I follow youtuber since vlog brother/smosh era, so I witness Pewds rise to fame but never find any joy in watching it live.

    Like SovietWomble, his bullshitery series is top notch entertainment, I've rewatched the Arma and CS series multiple time, despite never played either one. Still didn't like watching it live.

    I think because it's similar with the one with celebrities. I just don't care with the parasocial aspect of it.

    Well, yeah the assumption here is that we both already knew and trust each other IRL and you personally give me this contact info and the check is there to make sure I was actually connected to you.

    We as layman didn't do this but I would assumed someone who is a high profile target actually do this kinds of checks.

  • Taking a break from Skong & No rest for the wicked.

    Playing Octopath 2 in the mean time. It's such a contrast I think I consider this relaxing game. The vanilla gameplay is too easy to cheese, not that it's bad. Though I personally find the story uninspiring most of the time, most of the dialog is so generic I just glossed it over.

    The spooky Mansion sidequest is a nice surprise.

    I'm on a break on my 1st run. Middle act 2, I think. Rasher delivery still kick my ass. I know from osmosis there's a tools to run fast but can't find it lol. I thought it was in the Far Field lava run but it just give you mask. I dread bile water so I'm sure act 3 will be nightmare, and I'm 40 hours in haha.

    But after pondering the orbs for a minute I think they're saying, that it's just Emissary trying to get E2EE working and not Fediverse as a whole.

    And they follow with some objection with the proposed draft. I can only comment on the 3rd one, it basically mean you need other channel of communication to manually compare fingerprint (i.e via Matrix/Signal) to make sure your activities on Emissary is actually encrypted, maybe lol.

  • I've raised dozen of strays I picked-up from the streets over my lifetime. None but one was food motivated enough to steal our food, and the orange one that did isn't so stubborn as to push his luck, a simple hush was enough to deter him.

    Though I'm South-East Asian, most of our food is plant-based and the occasional meat we have is drenched in seasoning I don't think they recognize it as food lol.
