  • Honestly I do this a lot. Not a bad experience overall. Phone planes for hotspots suck in the US IMHO. Calyx's hotspot device was better, but I had device issues with them from time to time

  • In the US it's typical to have to pay extra for hotspot privilege. There are ways around this by obfuscating the IP of downstreat devices, but by default the android "hotspot" feature places nice with carriers and will even fail to start if it isn't authorized.

  • Gamer's nexus did a great testing breakdown with Bazzite in a lot of different hardware configs.

Nvidia GPUs are all over the place in expected performance, AMD and Intel just worked from what I remember.

  • Wanted one of those so bad, but couldn't find ones with US bands support at the time

  • Arguably Eurasia is actually a thing.

  • I know I've been looking for communities for Americans immigrating abroad.

  • International nationalism. It's just a divide and conquer strategy being pushed everywhere. Some places like Spain, Ireland, and South Afrika seem to have an international push against it but a lot of the rest of the world have only local resistance to it at the moment. At least from a an english readers perspective. I hope in other languages there is more opposition.

  • Talking with people in tech the path is go remote, go international, and then go abroad. With people talking EU, south East Asia and some Central America. Just depending on ethnicity or culture they grew up with.

  • "The fact that "All quite on the Western Front" proves that men just want to watch their friends die in a pointless war, it's just fact."/s

People are crazy to not get that fiction can in fact represent a wide range of things from support, condemnation, and even neutral exploration of a meriad of topics at once.

  • Can confirm it's an actual effort for me to remember that non "AsCode" UX patterns.

Can I help someone using a git ops flow deploy 1-1000 nodes clusters and the high avaible apps on top? Yes. Do I remember where a UI button for ANY of those tools or apps? Not on my life lol

  • My LUG uses discord :/ but we are working on a matrix bridge.

Bridges IMHO seem like the way to go.

  • I was using Odoo at home for a while

  • Every chain broken makes the next one easier to break. This is cool to see a good list break down like this

  • Where I live there are already a few coop/consignment stores with a online store front. I wonder how hard a warehouse/fufilement coop.

  • Engineering and quality samples float around sometimes which makes them more reasonable prices too. They have minor defects sometimes but I've never had an issue yet that matter

  • I used to say I'm a libertarian socialist, which means that I liked arguing semantics about what I believe online all day
