  • I'm pretty certain push notifications have been shown to be grossly insecure actually...

  • That sounds like an important distinction; I appreciate it.

I am kinda assuming the actual study has valid use; I think I probably just found the way it was described off-putting.

But yeah, expert opinion would definitely help here. Oh well ¯(ツ)

  • This "study" doesn't seem to provide anything other than a correlation between WFD and cognitive decline. Sample size also seemed low? (125 adults)

Now, if somebody regularly struggles to recall the word they want to use, I don't argue that "could" indicate cognitive decline. However, it seems far from being a "clear indication".

Anybody with knowledge in related fields who wants to tackle reading the full published article, I'd be keen to hear your thoughts! But really seems like the linked article overplays the results for dramatic effect...

  • Magic mushrooms (or any psychedelic drug) taken in the wrong state of mind are dangerous! Pervasive negativity in your thoughts can easily lead to a very bad trip, which I can only imagine would increase depression, possibly even lead to worse psychological issues. Now, from what I've been told, mushrooms are not as dangerous as say LSD, but they induce a significantly altered state of mind nonetheless. So that's a very tricky thing to try to study, I'm sure!

If you do not have a friend who is familiar with their effects to give you advice and otherwise help you out, I would NOT recommend any psychedelic. Even if you're not suffering depression or other debilitating mental/emotional issues.

  • This is, unfortunately, exactly what's happening. Due process has been suspended; they are gathering people up without even formally charging them with anything, let alone securing a conviction in court.

And, if anybody is stripped of such fundamental rights, then, effectively, everyone is. And I wouldn't be fooled by them making a bunch of nose about stripping people of their citizenship; that, I'm afraid, is a mere formality that they likely will skip in the future.

  • The way I heard this explained is you have to show compassion. And if they disagree on something important to you, that might be hard! But I think it's right on the money.

That said, I appreciate the way you break it down; especially that you point out the fact it can definitely be slow and painful.

  • Ah, yes, because I don't need money for rent and food, just healthcare.

    What a moron.

  • Pathetic.

Jesus is still a myth. Still no actual proof he ever existed.

    Get over it

  • AI assistant? Right where I lost interest...

  • This is my favorite text for the meme so far.

  • The absolute beauty of this is you can use it for anything you want. 🤣

  • So, once somebody figures out how to easily bypass this, that'll work in my favor in the end I hope.

  • This clause was already struck down by the parliamentarian.

  • That would be far more intuitive, but it's not that - it's the painted logo on the outside.

  • Constitutionally, your Bible is irrelevant.

  • Lol right

  • Right? "My ancestors beat up your ancestors, so I deserve to live in wealth and opulence, while you deserve to be my slave"

It really is pretty fucked up.

  • Still no justification for this money to be funneled to felon musk.
