with a critical failure, the gm could describe one of the pcs doing something really dumb. like with stealth, other pcs could tell the one with a low roll to stop being loud or something and they could get a free reroll
ok so for anyone wandering, most rolls in pf2e are required to be open, except for actions with the secret trait, which the gm rolls in secret. there are very fw of those, and they are only ever used for when a player/pc shouldn't know how well they went. some examples are: peception checks, stealth, recall knowledge, deception, and some other similar checks that, in real life, you couldn't really know how well you did
hmmm i was thinking of giving my players some kind of cursed weapon that was stronger than normal for their level, but maybe i could just give a bunch of OP stuff that might get taken away later, by enemies
