  • I don't know if UK ever had the gaming cafes but they're still common in east, if you can't afford console/game, it made so much sense to go to gaming cafe, meet your friends there and you can play from library of hundreds of games without having to pay for games themselves.

I know it's still more expensive than buying hardware and games long term, but at least that way you don't lease console and then pay for games as well, and invest in controllers, good headphones etc etc.

    You get all round package.

  • How is wanting local control fear mongering?

  • Cat

  • Sorry, I was in a rush and read your comment and replied haphazardly. I read your comment again with some time and what you say makes sense.

  • Oh i play endless space 2 it's 4x, but not sure if it's mil-sim

  • No its clearly the problem, a lot of people specially working ones, don't have time to keep up with all the changes and changes in the meta. And it's frustrating as fuck because you were busy for two weeks and you're back but only have 30 minutes for a game before some other duty calls and some new overpowered change led to some rando shooting you that you were powerless against unless you copied the same meta dead 2 seconds before your win.

Yeah I gave up live service games when this happened more than a few times, now I'm all for my single player offline games.

  • So why not just buy it on the day of the launch? See the reviews, or even better yet wait a few days before seeing actual reviews and not reviews against free/early access copies?

  • Seems like a good response all things considered.

  • Not sure about red note, but tiktok used to log all available Bluetooth decide and used to send it to their servers.

It was the major argument I heard when Indian govt banned tiktok. Not in the media, but in the policy advisory circles.

I'm guessing red note would do the same given the chance. My point being, you might be okay with your data being with China, you might be putting others data as well. Not discouraging you to use it, just be aware of the consequences.

  • I am fairly sure it's GitS, but I could be wrong

  • At that point just call it magic no? Magic that works in metal pipes and spheres.

  • I have heard a friend say that about kamala and now he is upset that Trump is his president.

  • They should have the same rigorous stress testing requirements as imposed on financial institutions. Banks and bank regulators learned from 2008 time for insurance regulators to wake up.

  • That sounds tasty, where do I buy it?

  • Before having wireless earphones I had habit off putting keys with wallet and phone on its own, but since I switched to wireless earbuds they don't fit with large ass phones, so I have to put them with wallet. I already broke one case of earbuds pulling out keys from the pocket that had everything. I switched to keeping my phone and keys in the same pocket.

I've been doing that for almost a decade now and I don't see the value proposition of folding phones yet where I can justify changing my habits again and taking care of yet another tool in my life.

Maybe one day if they had full computer with root privileges in my pocket, I'd consider changing my habits to carry that and make sure it is taken care of.

  • There are two types of people

    1. People who see phone as a tool to get things done, tools should be strong and can withstand wear and tear
    2. People who see phone as prized possession, they don't mind spending extra effort to ensure phone is treated nicely.

In my experience people who love folding phones have habit of taking care of their phones that no one is sitting on it on the couch, that keys are not in the same pocket as phone, etc etc

Then there are people like me who don't want to bother with taking care of a phone. And we hate folding phones. I like that sometimes my phone is on bed and I am sleeping I don't have to worry about what if i roll onto my phone in my sleep. I know my phone will live.

  • Spotted Elden ring lore in the wild.

  • I'm sure, I was pointing out why even as a customer you should be mad

  • The reason so many people are mad is sometimes the suit guy even comes back saying, sorry man didn't find a discount, but here is your slip. Meanwhile he has changed the slip and added his name and would get the commission without doing anything.
