  • What near future? Redmagic 10 pro has a very decent underscren camera that you can buy now. Only reason stupid holes in screen exist now is that mainstream phone makers are still assuming all of their customers absolutely care about taking the best selfies all the time.

  • Well its normal for about 1.5 billion people with about the same fatality rate as the rest of the world. It's chaos and madness but it seems to work for them arguable about the same as organised traffic countires.

Fuck cars in general for sure, I'd prefer no death machines around me, but having lanes doesn't make it safer in my opinion, having more attentive drivers kind of makes it safer.

  • Yes but it's opt in, not opt out, it's not shoved down my throat unlike most other companies.

  • And how many percentage of all livestock do you think is "free range" like the cows you describe?

Estimates vary from 80% to 99% are factory farmed. Which means majority of meat anyone is eating is factory farm. Unless you can verify the source of your meat yourself, you most likely are eating tortured animals.

So this whole argument that I have friends and family that care for their livestock like it's their kids is the misrepresentation since, it maybe true that you know someone that is treating animals humane, it doesn't represent majority.

  • Well couple of things, it's entirely possible your friends and family are complete assholes, but sometimes people need to ask themselves how many times have they listened to someone when they want to express their negative emotions?

My wife's cousin, her entire life she's never once lent an ear to a sad friend/family, had had the audacity to tell an aunt who lost her breasts to cancer that she just brings negative energy and wouldn't be invited to any gatherings at her house, now is suffering through a divorce and cannot fathom why the whole family kind of supports the husband and not her.

  • Exchange Traded Funds, basically these funds pool money from a lot of small investors and give you diversified portfolio. Basically if you try to mirror S&P 500 yourself, it'll require about a few hundred thousand dollars to manage, but by pooling with other people you can have S&P 500 level diversification for 100$

  • Both sides are saving face, India lost some fighters more than one for sure. But no clarity, pakistan claims they downed five, BBC independently verified one, some US officials said two planes were shot down. However it's unclear if they were downed by Chinese made fighters or not, maybe they were. India confirmed that "losses are part of defense action". Couple other experts pointed it looked like crash due to air-to-air missiles (but experts are all anoynums and from western countries). The problem is there was so much disinformation in Indian media, Pakistani media and Chinese media around that time. It's next to impossible to say how the Rafale was downed, but at least downed Rafale is confirmed.

  • I think new tab page, but I've never seen it written as ntp

  • I had the perfect roommate, he had night shifts, he'd do 00:00 to 09:00. He would come home around 10:00 and sleep toll 18:00 and then we'd enjoy our evening together. I'd go to bed and he'd go to work. He'd been doing this for 6 years at that point and it suited him fine and he was healthy as a horse.

I think the thing that worked for him was treating even the weekends like weekday and he'd sleep through most of his Saturday/Sunday daylight.

  • Fossil gas is better term agreed and everyone should switch to using that over natural gas.

But calling fossils unnatural is not right, maybe extraction of fossil gas unnatural sure, but the gas itself, I don't know rubs me the wrong way.

  • Well modern Iran is built on persecutions. Be it Zoroastrians, Jews, Christians, Mandaeism, Ba'hai all were persecuted, even sunni and sufi muslim also persecuted.

  • I always heard yarrel. Or yarrey, but I don't hear l sound at the start or n sound in the middle. So neither?

  • I think Singapore handles it well, any residential property can only be rented for minimum of six months, less than six months and it must be registered a commercial property and be in a zone that allows commercial activity.

It doesn't ban AirBnB specifically, but it solves this problem.

  • What do you mean, I have a nick, fake email, fake name and I'm enjoying my free games for years.

  • I think they explained it, the reason they could afford it was because Monica's grandmother lived there, and they've been paying 1950s rent because of rent control or something. Something similar for phoebe as well. Anyway show never explains how joey/chandler/Ross can afford those big houses.

  • Ok, so I checked a superstore near me, and my updated understanding is

    1. anything disinfecting is alcohol based be it for skin or for for objects,
    2. things designed for cleaning skin or to be "refreshing/fragrant" are mostly water based.
    3. However there are skin cleaning products that are marketed more towards deep clean or dirt/oil/grease etc are almost always alcohol based.
    4. cleaning objects intended wet wipes also mostly alcohol based. But if marketed as "gentle" could be water based.

So baby wipes being meant to clean skin and be "gentle", it makes sense that they are water based.

  • Maybe my understanding is wrong, and I don't use wet wipes that often, but the ones I have I bought like a year ago 60% ethanol v/v.
