  • From early recalls, it looks like the product was sold direct by the grower and to Sysco, a major distributor. A huge portion of restaurants use Sysco, and Sysco hasn't specified what states they sent impacted product to in the recalls I've seen.

I was digging through my purchases this morning looking at the recalled Sysco items. I have a few places on the west side of the US using a few of the items, but those distribution centers were sourcing from a different grower.

Food goes through so many hands that early-stage contamination recalls tend to take a while to cascade out to things that are useful to a end-user.

  • They didn't. They made mothers able to use HOV lanes without a second occupant, blocking the GOP's attempts to use HOV lanes to normalize fetal personhood.

  • I'd have to go with the ubiquitous plastic bottle cap. A metal cap doesn't reseal properly and just punching a hole in the side of the packaging is a no-go for obvious reasons.

  • And a 3! (Extreme Stunts)

I remember both fondly. I should spoil that memory some day...

  • It has very little gameplay. It's a few mini games spread across a janky early-3D scene.

Lego Island 2 is much more game.

  • She was both a prosecutor and judge before hopping on the hate train. She's been milking the 'judge' honorific for years.

  • In line with Francis on migrants and the poor. He thinks social elements like position on LGBT issues should be set at the regional level and align with local cultural acceptance.

In other words, slightly progressive from a Catholic leadership standpoint, but conservative when compared against Western Europe.

  • He quit his second job by not showing up.

A guy living in an oligarchs mansion in Vegas was appointed director of 2 federal law enforcement agencies.

  • If you don't do what Trump wants, you're fired. He doesn't tell you what he wants though...

    Governing by Crystal ball

  • This was comments, not posts. They were using a model to approximate the demographics of a poster, then using an LLM to generate a response counter to the posted view tailored to the demographics of the poster.

  • Is his hat embroidered backwards? The Walmart sign and his shirt are both mirrored, but his hat isn't.

  • I'm also one of his constituents and originally had the same grumbles about the $v$ election. I know someone who worked with him in his old life as a nepobaby at the family company, however, so I asked them about him.

They said that he recognized his lack of real experience and perspective and made up for it by surrounding himself with a diverse group of people. He would invite those insights, absorb them, and give ample credit to those around him.

Watching him as governor, he appears to still do the same thing. He is passionate about things as if he had lived experience because he surrounds himself with those that do, amplifying their fight with his unfairly-acquired power.

  • Nobody can make a successful browser that is simpler. The moment a user hits a website that no longer works, they are going back to their old browser.

All these new features exist because websites replaced every single program most people used. Web browser now have to be capable of doing anything pretty well. It's not some grand conspiracy to take over the internet, it's providing the features devs want so they can deliver the things they want in the modern multiplatform no-install world.

  • They likely only have a dialogue script for masculine and feminine, which swaps both player and npc dialogue. They'd need four scripts and cutscenes timings to make both player voices work with both NPC pronoun uses.

  • My wife wanted to go mining for her birthday. We're sitting in a hotel five hours from home right now after a lovely Day swinging picks and with a bucket of rock to show for it.

  • When talking about attack drones, historically that has described an unmanned bomber that has significant range and strike capability. These are a strategic asset, operated far back from the front and making big-picture attacks. They replace cruise missiles and manned bombers.

The war in Ukraine has led to the first major deployment of tactical drones. These are relatively short range and operated in the field. Some are simply hobby drones rigged up to be able to drop a grenade, while others are flown straight into a target and explode. This article is talking about the latter, which is basically a replacement for anti-tank missiles.

When compared against a missile you have to have line of sight to guide to the target, a 20km range is a huge step up.

  • They teased it yesterday and announced it today. Everything before that was leaks, which have been trickling out for months but accelerated last week.

  • It's sort of like the dual pronunciation of the word 'a' in English. While that has more distinct rules, it's still mostly which one feels nicer.
