I'd be another casualty if nazis came to power, but just hating them outright without understanding leads to division. An outgroup us righteous folk can hate and blame without thought or moral affliction.
Just another layer of propaganda that keeps us down and distracted. Sure, punch a nazi if you can, but all I see is people flexing their hate boners.
The rich already won, don't you see? Brother eats brother in this forum, while those in charge of the supply chains are miles away from any repercussions.
You are mostly right, but when it's promoting division, I will nit-pick:
The EU funds have propped up the government, and free movement has let the most frustrated leave the country. I do not lay blame at the feet of Europe, but it is important to see the situation for what it is.
We are the only ones who can do anything, I agree. I love Europe and feel as much a citizen of Europe as of Hungary (sometimes even more).
Thank you for your well-wishes. I am a bit sceptic of any real change, even if Tisza gets (super-)majority, but hope is the last to die. I'd say I'll be happy as soon as we're part of the European Public Prosecutor's Office. We really crave justice.
I understand your frustration, but it saddens me that it makes you want further divide. Hungary is currently a captured state where lawyers are rewriting constitution on their whims and are the head of the maffia as well. Orbán is using every dirty trick to hold on to power. They have already circumvented the parliament and have been ruling by decree since the immigration wave from the Syrian war (and keep extending it for covid, for the 'ukraine' war).
I urge you to look upon us with empathy. We are a pluralistic people who are locked under tyrants. The ruling party is extremely careful to not initiate any state aggression during protests, otherwise we'd have similar clashes as Belorussia had during the last elections. Very trying times.

feddit.org's Zionist bar problem: community ban(s) vote
But you're harshing this community with it. Don't you see the eloquently composed backlash? Don't you see the two-bit for votes ('fck off nzis')?
I really don't understand what's going on. I thought anarchism was a little tougher than all this. This feels like you'd rather a vocal part of the community suffer fallout so that feddit gets a message. This shit stinks.

Man, going into a German language thread to look for zionist apologia. What a way to start the day!
I do know a bit of the language, but using deepl, all I could find was that one dude who equated being pro-palestinian with being antisemitic. I know this is a tactic to silence the discussion, but aren't we becoming the intolerants here?
The post has people being morose about the further fragmentation of the fediverse, the same as all the nays in this comment section. And the xenophobic comment you linked was at a -2 vote when I checked on it (but that could've been the extra attention it got from this thread, I don't have the savvy to check who voted).
I have no doubt that they have a zero-tolerance policy for being anti-zionist. But it just makes me wonder, what if you are just pro-palestinian? Are these two the same? Can one advocate for the freedom and well-being of Palestine without calling for the dissolution of the jewish state? Or just without using hateful speech (pissrael, isn'trael)?
The world is hard place to navigate, but we are already in bubbles. I don't see how shutting our access to their content brings anyone joy. Lemmy doesn't come with autosubscriptions, so people have to actively seek out to join that community.
If this decision goes through, it harms me. I lose my access to discuss european topics with fellow lemmites. Their policies might be on the darker side of neutral, but that is why I found a home on dbzer0, not there. This feels like an attempt to remove access to a community that doesn't totally agree with us. Feels a bit fascist, even through the guise of democracy.

Thank you for your transparency and the explanation.
I have to admit, I don't like seeing hate speech, even if it is warranted and goes against a genocidal regime. I don't want to use this extremely hot-button subject as an example, so I will use reddit and my country's sub.
r/hungary is in a constant state of stress and despair, either posting the daily atrocities of our government or propaganda for the biggest opposition party. And the way many users are trying to promote the Tisza party is bashing the other parties, leaving no room for discussion. So we are left bickering with each other, even though we are all on the same side (against the guv).
I visit forums for news and the community. I like cold takes as posts, and am happy to get hot and heavy in the comments. I don't agree with banning you for your post, especially if it was a cold take - but you using Isn'treali here makes me think it might've been loaded. I, personnaly, don't like loaded titles for my news (for memes, they're all the better). I don't need someone else telling me why I should be angry.
And I don't like alt accounts. I mean for myself. I feel that if people can see a long history of posts (and the quality of them), it lends further credit to my voice.
It seems that the vote will go through, so the majority feels that isolation is a better option than.. I don't even know, intolerance for anti-zionism? The only reason I would defed is if our instance is getting brigaded from another.
Again, thank you for taking the time to clarify the topic and providing nuance. I hope my comment doesn't come through as judgy or assuming too much. I appreciate the dialogue.

I don't see why we have to limit the reach of our community to keep it safe. How does the nazibar parable apply? Isn't this just censorship with a mighty dose of virtue signalling?
I'm subbed to c/europe because that's the most happening European sub. I'm more concerned the place is being overrun by guardian posts than any type of fascist apologia.
I don't know if I have a vote, but a big nay from me on this one. 🐎
Politics 101. Accuse the opposition with the stuff you're doing.
Hungary is low-hanging fruit in this example, but that's where I was when I started paying attention to politics. Anytime the government said something about 'the enemy', it was a safe bet to assume Orbán & co were the perpetrators.
I'm not sure if I am critical or cynical, but it sure seems to me that the medicine industry embraces productivity-related treatments, than actual mental health.
Last I heard of any MDMA related treatments was the MAPS project, ehich got gobbled up by big pharma.
I think going fedi (and open source) is like hitting rock bottom/finding jesus/starting therapy. All we can do is try and remove the stigma.
Yeah, all the doomerism is pulling me down, too. My best solution so far is to not interact. Not even a downvote. Contrarianism and acute cynisism need feedback to thrive, and the bastards ain't getting any more of my blood!
While central Europe and the Balkans still clearly have Russia's hooks in 'em, most of the population is firmly for the EU (i.e. the West). This couldn't have happened if Russian soft power did not suffer horrendously at the split of the USSR.
