  • I use it for biking/walking in my home city and really like it for that purpose.

    I'm not using it when I have to take public transport (it usually gets the correct route, but doesn't include departure times) or if I'm looking up locations in other random parts of the world, as I'd have to download that area first.

  • Hier könnten sich aber im Endeffekt zwei Fehler ausgleichen:

    1. die schlechte Verarbeitungs-/Softwarequalität des ID.3 am am Anfang
    2. Die Entscheidung nicht die traditionellen Modellnamen zu verwenden (Golf, Passat)

    Die traditionellen Modellnamen wurden so nicht beschädigt, und jetzt geht es ja zurück zu diesen (ID.Polo), mit der Erfahrung des ersten e-Serien im Gepäck.

  • I was surprised about this ratio (and the fact that it seems to work for them), too. I could imagine that a large percentage of lurkers and a maybe more reasonable community than other platforms could be helping factors?

    My mastodon account is on a kind of small instance, and I'd love to be able to report posts directly to the originating instance, without also reporting it to "my" admin. I just don't wasn't then to waste their time locally blocking a clear spam account, that should (and usually will be) removed by the originating instance in a couple hours.

  • I don't use react, but needed a decently looking frontend complement library that didn't look dated, and found basecoat, which is shadcn but without react to be really neat.

    Might be interesting for the htmx crowd here.
