  • They can't ban all VPN IPs though

  • Nice but all I want is actually liability. Meta should be hold liable for each and every single scam ad and here in south-east asia it's just rampant.

I see nothing but blatant scams, especially on Meta platforms. I don't mean simple e-commerce scams either where you buy some trash and it never gets sent to you - it's full on phishing and finance scams.

I just dont understand how are we collectively ok with this - every platform should have the burden of full liability, period. If someone gets their money taken through scam ad not only Meta should pay them back but suffer a 100x fine as well. The unskippable ad is nothing compared to this.

  • How To Be Perfect by Michael Schur (of The Good Place). I'm kinda sad how little ethics we teach these days and this book is a very good approachable overview of contemporary ethics that would make a huge difference for our society as a whole.

  • 20-40 Gs for horizontal force.

  • As other commenter pointer out direction of force is important. Horizontal force is much less dangerous as it doesn't drain your brain of blood as much as a vertical one. If I recall correctly humans can survive 20-40 Gs of horizontal force compared to just 5-9 of vertical.

  • I really want to like the game but haven't got a single enjoyable match in like 20 I tried. The graphics and environmenta are stunning I just don't get the gameplay. It's like first 10 minutes of a battle royale over and over without the rest of it.

  • His strategist Steve Banon has voiced this strategy publicly several times now and yet americans are none the wiser to this.

  • Lmao literally while supporting Russia for doing the exact same thing but like a billion times worse.

  • This never happened in US history and I don't think americans have the spine to do anything even remotely close to this.

  • I think it's fair to leave this thread at that then cause ya hopeless lmao

  • Thailand is incredibly welcoming and my favorite place on earth. You'll have no issues with your transition here though you need to make real money abroad or have good set of skills (like certified teaching) to get local employment.

  • Thailand visa is very easy. You can get elite visa which is like 12k usd for 5 years.

  • I think you don't understand how world reserve currency works. It has to be at least influencable by other countries. Nothing can influence Yuan - it'll never be a world reserve currency.

  • Why use authoritarian currency?

  • Lmao give China more power

  • Right now the POTUS can shut down the European economy with an EO ordering cloud providers to stop servicing European banks.

That would be a straight up declaration of war though and if that happens broken e-commerce would be the least of our worries.

The real reason to develop alternatives is to simply keep money and power away from US as that's the only thing US really cares about.

  • My take is that US is already on massive decline. I'm not an american but I am a big fan of US and I've never seen US this weak even if you ignore how ugly it is under current leadership. I honestly don't know how US will ever recover from this trump presidency and it seems like nothing but down hill from here. It'll time for geopolitics to catch up with reality but US will never been as strong as it was 10 years ago.

  • China fundamentally can't be the world leader as it's incompatible with the rest of the world it would have to lead. Here we are talking about this on american led internet - not Chinese great firewall. The only thing people want from China is the stuff they make not the Chinese culture or leadership.

The reason why US is so successful at leading the world because it's basically a giant haven for other world cultures which makes it easy to integrate anywhere.

  • I've test driven all of the popular models recently and yeah they are nice cars. Hard to tell how well they age though but BYD is establishing a really strong support network to the point where I'd say taking a risk is reasonable. The "air road assist" is quite bad but that's on par with all current cars tbh.

My only issue is design and interior as it's so tacky and just not well thought out. One of the main models is literally gym themed lmao
