Allow me to hijack this thread and ask why shouldn't the government be allowed to bar me from perpetuating my defective genetics? I am disabled and consequently the government already controls a huge portion of my life, and I get very little input into things, such as where and how I am allowed to work, what I'm allowed to earn in any given field and realistically where I can live. Why should my rights start and end at my ability to inseminate someone?

I will not have children by choice because my genetics are broken and I don't want my children to go through this. It is fortunate that I am smart enough to have had this thought and can practice restraint despite my massive rod, but a lot of people aren't or can't. Why shouldn't the government get a say, when they already effectively dictate the lives of disabled people?

It's because keeping the road and bicycle paths clear of snow are municipal responsibilities but sidewalks are the responsibility of whoever owns the land the sidewalk runs adjacent to.

There's basically no punishment for not clearing the snow, and there's no metrics for how clear it should be, so the sidewalks are always a mess when it snows and doesn't melt by days end.

I just disagree with the order. Copenhagen is definitely not number 2! I could be persuaded to agree with putting it in 4th place, but I don't know what metrics were used for this list. Yes, the bicycle lanes are great, but it's still a car-first city. Busses aren't simple to use and are massively de-prioritized, which I think is very important for bicycling in a city as big as Copenhagen; you have to take your bike on the bus every now and then, or else never participate in any events outside your comfortable biking distance.

Steam Deck verified includes specific UI enhancements and controller support, something a Steam Machine wouldn't need. Of course they're gonna be more lax in their requirements for what is verified on Steam Machines than Decks.

De nævnte selv den XKCD på deres hjemmeside, derfor jeg bringer det op.

Jeg sidder faktisk lige nu og roder med Matrix puppeteering af min Discord, og det virker til at være stabilt.

Jeg har DMs og whatever servers jeg vælger nested i deres egne kategorier, i en super-category der bare hedder "Discord". Måske er Matrix endelig nået til det punkt at jeg kan afinstallere Discord. Jeg vil i hvert fald se hvor lang tid jeg kan bruge det her før noget går i stykker!

Jeg skal ikke lyde negativ, men jeg kan ikke se hvordan det ikke bare er endnu en standard. Matrix er meget nemmere at hoste end email, og det er jo ikke fordi de faktisk bruger eksisterende email infrastruktur. De har bygget deres egen ting, separat fra email, ovenpå email standarder.

Det er lidt som at sige at Matrix ikke er en ny standard, da den jo brugere eksisterende internet standarder til at forbinde klienter og servere.

Der vil altid være en gruppe af folk der siger at de fik deres familie med på den, og derfor må det jo være nemt, men tror de ikke at de i virkeligheden kunne have overtalt dem til at gå med på noget andet? Hvad er det Deltachat gør anderledes? Jeg kan ikke se det. Det hjælper ikke mig med at komme af med Discord eller Telegram, når 90% af dem jeg snakker med, stadig er på Discord og Telegram, og nægter at bruge noget andet.

Der er utroligt mange overvågningskameraer der er koblet til internet og har kendte exploits, eller bare er åbne fordi de ikke er blevet sat op korrekt. Det er ikke én producent, men de fleste, og har ikke noget med producentens side at gøre.

Det er i samme boldgade som Internet-of-Things sikkerhedsproblemer; ting der bliver sat op, ofte forkert, og så aldrig opdateret efterfølgende.

Min honeypot fanger 1-2 kameraer for hver 10-15 andre ting, og det er kameraer der allerede er pwnd af en hacker og bruges som led i botnets.
