Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Valve looking into 3D support for flat games on Steam Frame
7·5 months agoI had a Pico 4 VR headset for a while, and there’s this software called UEVR (I think that was the name) that lets you turn any Unreal Engine (I think 4 and 5)game into steresocopic 3D. It wasn’t plug and play and you had to tinker quite a bit, but it was doable. I played most of Trepang2 this way and it was great. This was done by a single person IIRC, I believe Valve could do something even better if they get to it.

2·6 months agoSame, and the only few problems I’ve ever had with it have been due to Nvidia drivers, so not on them.
I played it through Lutris for a while a few years ago.

1·6 months agoYou could try CachyOS on the Deck, I used it for a few months and it worked great. It’s practically the same as SteamOS but with pacman and paru available, with all the advantages this brings.
I sold my Deck and bought a Legion Go, and I’m also using CachyOS here. Same results.

4·7 months agoSnatcher (1988). Cyberpunk text-heavy adventure by Hideo Kojima. The MSX version was fan-translated and the Mega CD/Sega CD version received an official English localization a few years after the PC88 and MSX versions came out.
