Don’t see the UK getting back in the EU for a while…
Fair, and thank you.
Taylor’s post, while i feel was well crafted, didn’t say that anyone else should vote for Harris explicitly, but rather encouraging them to research their options and vote. That’s different than “vote for Harris like your life depends on it”.
Wasn’t saying that at all. I’m not playing favorites, and as a Sad Dad of The National, I actually listen to more Swift. I think Swift’s post about voting for Harris was well presented, but my point was it wasn’t an endorsement.
Noone looked at my comment history I guess. Lol. That’s fine. I’ve been commenting on how Swift didn’t really endorse Harris, and just stated how she was voting and that people should research and vote. I am not even down on Swift. I think her post-debate message was well done. Just making a comment of the contrast and what a real endorsement is.
Unlike Swift, that’s a real endorsement.
I typically see an endorsement as saying “I am voting for this person, and you should too.”
I still think it’s funny that this is being treated as a full-blown endorsement. She said she is voting for Harris, then encouraged people to be politically informed and to vote…
Oh…maybe Republicans don’t want people to be politically informed or to vote…
I was wrong. I didn’t think we had the time to find a good alternative, and I definitely didn’t think Harris could be competitive. Happily eating crow! She and her campaign have been amazing!
Meh, you can stop in Durham at least…keepin’ it dirty.
Dude, he went full genocide denial. Nothing productive there. Full CCP propaganda troll.
Lol at the delete.
Why hasn’t West Taiwan gone to war over Taiwan and the South China Sea? Because they are a Paper Tiger and know they would be embarrassed by the US Navy. That’s why the US shows up to every “minor dispute”, to keep the peace and support their allies. Additionally, China has recently been extremely belligerent concerning the border with India, which is a continuation of what has been happening since the 1960’s.
Historically, you’ve also forgotten the CCPs military actions against Tibet, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea, and the many border conflicts with Russia/USSR.
As for genocides, it is very convenient for you to forget about the Uyghurs…
Haha…hahahaha…hahahaahahahshaaha
Doesn’t he hold controlling shares? I mean, yeah him getting out of tXitters’ way would make huge sense, but he would either have to sell at a huge loss or drop his overinflated ego.
From a Ukrainian perspective, it is totally and completely a war.
11 aircraft carriers, the dollar being the fiat currency of the world, and our cultural dominance pretty much seals the hegemony win for the US since the '90s, but ok, sure dude. We’re no different than other countries…
I guess this is one of the few times American Exceptionalism actually proves right. We’ve always been a melting pot of cultures. That includes many different “white” cultures for a good few centuries, but go ahead and ask the Irish and Italian immigrants if they didn’t feel like minorities as they were coming off the boats to Ellis Island. Even next to the oppression and brutality both Native and Black Americans faced, their contributions to our society are innumerable and invaluable. The new immigrants coming from Latin America are just being played for political gain while we appreciate and depend on their willingness to work our farms and construction sites. Their kids are just as adapted to American culture as mine are, just as every second generation of immigrants turns out to be. We stress a huge amount about racism (and yes we still have a long way to go, as Trump shows) but when you really compare us to other countries, we seem to be doing alright. The melting pot will keep going, even once us white people are under 50% of the population.
Is it a tiny area? Yes. But they can find other places than schools and hospitals. Sorry no. The blatant disregard for lives is apparent for Hamas as much as it is for the IDF. War isn’t fair by definition, but a force that intentionally puts in danger the lives they are supposedly fighting for as a PR stunt doesn’t need you to white knight them. The Palestinian do.
And to be clear, Jewish Zionists and the west had a major hand in all of this, but didn’t cause this in a vacuum either. 900,000 Jews had to flee Muslim countries from 1948 to 1979 because of ethnic cleansing. Why are Gaza, the Golan Heights, and East Jerusalem occupied? Because of multiple wars started by Arab nations seeking to destroy Isreal. Hamas began in 1987 as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood to operate as violent militants separate from the PLO who was staring to accept comprimise and terms of the Isreali government. There are Islamist that will never accept Isreal, and Isreal’s destruction is the backbone of Hamas’s cause. The only way to “fix the problem” for them would be for the Jews to leave.
Netanyahu doesn’t want a two-state solution to be successful either, and that is why he gave money to Hamas, to help prevent the Palestinian Authority from gaining power in Gaza which would be a much more moderate government. Prime Minister Rabin was killed in 1995 by a Zionist Ultranational because of Oslo. Since then, Netanyahu’s party has done everything they can to destabilize any hope for peace to stay in power by fear. Settlers and apartheid policies abound. I am not giving Isreal a pass on this at all.
But BOTH sides need to decide they are tired of the violence and let moderate voices be heard, those open to both coexistence and comprise. While Netanyahu’s Likur party and Hamas remain in power, this will not be a possibility.
Umm…just because the 2006 conflict was a stalemate, I wouldn’t bet on Hezbollah stopping a full Isreali invasion, especially if they are committed to the genocidal tactics they are using in Gaza. Iran would continue to remain relatively unbloodied and let their poxies die.
