Indeed, we must be speaking of different kinds of meditation.
The one I was referring to is mindfulness meditation, by practicing which one gradually develops a habit of noticing thoughts as they happen in one's mind and instead of being immediately carried away by them, have a tiny time buffer that allows to have a chance to decide whether to react or just let it dissipate as all thoughts do.

as for the effects, results of meditation are never immediate or even obvious, just over time, if one persists, things get a little easier.
You're probably referring to ruzzia having three times more people than Ukraine.
There are several factors why this is not as important as it might seem.
First is that ruzzia is attacking and the attacking side usually sustains 1:3 loss ratio.
Second is that their approach was always to disregard their own, so the ratio is at least 1:5, likely even worse.
And third, is that despite they have 140 million people, after you deduct women, children, old and sick, and ruzzian tooth to tail ratio of 1:1, you end up with the maximum army of 5 million.
And they already lost 20%.
And some of those 20% were actually trained.
And men that are fit for army are also for for work.
Which all basically means that if the sanctions pressure is kept, if Ukraine has enough ammunition (and they claim 30% is already made domestically) and as long as Ukraine keeps the loss ratio in its favour, ruzzia will simply implode.
Somebody calculated that at the current "advance" speed, ruzzia will need 140 years to occupy Ukraine. If Ukraine keeps doing what it's doing, it needs maybe two.
It's not going to be nice two years, but with a little support, Ukraine is winning and will win.
Talk to a professional.
Burnout at work is often a result of caring about something that is out of one's control. Which means that just getting some rest and coming back into the same environment will bring the burnout back.
In other words, you need to rest, but also change the pattern that led you there. Unfortunately changing jobs will likely mean it all will come back. It's not your fault, but only you can learn to do things differently.
Civilian disobedience can take many forms, not all of them involve an active confrontation with the government or police.
Unfortunately, from what it looks like, all everyday russians are living their normal everyday lives.
Unfortunately this means that the majority of the population either supports the war (especially as long as they're winning) or are zombified enough not to care.
In either case, those are people that will be fine with being conscripted and sent to the front. As long as they're not getting hurt, themselves, of course.
By all means, I'm not advocating russian style of bombing obviously civilian targets, but those russians are far from poor and powerless.
I'm on my eight's language and the sad realisation I had around the fourth is that I've seen people better communicating while speaking one and a half languages.
I guess I don't have any suggestions. Watch media in the language. At least you'll understand it better and maybe by parroting, somewhat improve the speaking. But without human feedback, it's hard to know if you're saying something wrong.
Once I saw a categorisation I liked.
There are three kinds of people: those who know what they want or like, those who know what they don't like and the confused ones.
In other words, it's totally fine even for neurotypicals not too know if something is better than the other, especially when it comes to subjective reactions based on subconscious or feelings.
What a great way to show the inefficiency of sanctions! /s
