  • I mean, it's like 30 seconds to look up and change the default font in Word. It might even be part of the settings IT can change on a network level.

  • Weird , looks fine on my end.

  • For anyone else confused, e-ink seems to be a brand, e-paper is the broader term.

  • There are public lobbies for cursed halo? Awesome lol

  • I have, very satisfying to watch such a well planned and executed level.

  • I think it means Graphene just doesn't update to the newest android version, they can still update grapheneos, but on the last android version.

A number of banking and wallet apps do not work on rooted/alternative OS, but I think the solution to Google wallet is use a different wallet app.

  • Yep! Discovered our rentals smoke alarms were like 15 years old. Got us new ones at least.

  • Could have been a real shit post in this comm, but actually just a spam account posting to everything.

  • Fortnite is a massive platform now, not one game with a few modes. They have car racing, the actual fortnite game, Lego survival crafting, all kinds of stuff. It's why the download is 100+GB and every patch is like 50gb.

  • If anyone takes them to court, I suppose discovery might turn up the reasons why, but until then it looks like they can drop customers the same way customers can drop banks. No reason.

  • Yeah the spaming at the start of the match is fairly common, but you just press f1-3 to mute the current people yelling and boom, never have to listen to them again. For the rest of the match at least.

  • I was thinking something like flight but only in directions away from enemies.

  • Early 30s, I haven't noticed much change for illness, joint pains slightly worse. But I have noticed a pretty significant heal time increase for cuts and scrapes. I find myself constantly going "why hasn't that cut/scrape healed yet, it's been like a week".

  • "I read the magazines" isn't clear on its own, but with other text it probably is.

  • "To Sleep in a Sea of Stars" starts pretty grounded, has a weird thing happen to the main character, then massively increases in scope.

It's not quite hard sci-fi, as tech for ftl travel exists. It has some proto-molecule McMuffin as well.

It's by the writer of Eragon, I enjoyed it but I also don't have a discerning taste in author.

  • You can emulate android on Linux right? Would that be a way to run it? Not that I would really endorse still giving them money for the headache

  • Average desk height is like, 30in. If the outlet is 6in off the ground, that gives you 1 foot of leeway to the nearest outlet. Hopefully it's next to the desk.

Average elbow height for men seems to be about 1m, give or take. Have to stand next to the outlet to use it plugged in.

I'm only buying 2m+ cables for wall charging, data transfer cables can be shorter and so can cables for battery banks.

  • I'm pretty sure you can run Graphene on other devices than the pixel, it's the only officially supported for hardware security chip reasons, but the user experience is probably pretty close to the same regardless of device.

I'm having a hard time finding builds for non-pixels, but you may be able to find and test run it on something else.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/186882061984 Pricing is really location based but a used pixel 8 looks to be around $300-$350.
