  • Not always. Well, maybe it depends on the jurisdiction. But, for example, stopping and searching cars has a lot more leeway than searching a house. Maybe searching people in public is the same? I remember New York has/had that stop and frisk law.

Of course I am not arguing against you, as I agree that it’s all bullshit and unconstitutional. This case especially. People have gotten off for much less technicalities, and yet Mangione is still on trial. He will never see a fair trial.

  • By the look on her face, I’d say curtains fall under safety — his safety.

  • Ed is the one that comes to mind from Bebop. Ed is the best!

  • Of course not! He’s a chef. And he’s dead. What kind of necromancy cannibalism are you into? 🤮

  • This certainly would make things easier.

  • To be fair, the comic stated the guy was the last person alive born in the 1900s, and grew up in the 90s. Those are two very important details where words matter. In my mind this infers he was born before the 90s and spent his childhood in the 90s. And knowing kids from the 1900s it’s not too far fetched to imagine most died at a young age (I’m very surprised I’m still alive and it’s only 2025). 🤣

Also, the year stated in the comic is 2118, so the guy is already older than 118 years. If that’s possible, then it’s also possible he was born in the 80s, or late 70s.

God I really hope I don’t live that long.

  • Assistant manager. Probably also a privately-owned store.

Additionally, he was taunting the agents (i.e. flipping the bird, etc). Let’s hope his bosses see eye to eye on this, and he doesn’t lose his job.

And if he does, we can start a GoFundMe (or whatever better alternative there is) for this hero.

  • I literally love and hate this comment.

  • Win win.

  • Dang that’s awesome! I am genuinely happy that you got yours figured out. That gives me hope.

Define blurry vision. Not counting having to wear readers recently (past 3 years), sometimes my eyes get fatigued and become unfocused until I force them to focus again. I do sometimes get tension headaches (back of my head, usually behind my ears on both sides).

  • I made up a spreadsheet of my past BP, weight, pulse, etc based on what was available in MyChart. Historically, I’ve had non-normal BP.

I also decided to buy a smart scale and smart BP cuff too, so I can take regular measurements. I’ve noticed MyChart didn’t always record my vitals (or maybe it was the docs didn’t always enter them); some docs just carried over the same vitals from previous visits. 🤦‍♂️

  • I am 48.

  • Using AI as a tool like any other is fine. It’s the blind trust that it can do everything for you that is problematic (not to mention the fact people hide the fact that something “they created” is AI). Just like with any other computer system: garbage in, garbage out.

  • I haven’t used Twitter in so many years (long before that shithead stepped through the doors holding a sink). 🤷‍♂️

  • Sometimes I do stuff that torpedoes my confidence so hard that, yes, I need to double check that 2 + 2 really does equal 3.

Today I relearned how bad I am with (de-)soldering, and wasted money on some hall effect joysticks for my now-trashed xbox controller. If you need me, I’ll be in the corner crying.

  • Those comments. 🤮

  • It’s simple really. White folk, especially old white men, have done so many bad things for so long that there really isn’t much legitimate good things that they can take credit for anymore. Add to that a systemic lack of accountability, and you get a lot of fragile egos that don’t understand that part of life is a) apologizing, and 2) sitting with and thinking about the things that make you uncomfortable. So instead, they prop themselves up by bringing other people down, and removing the legitimate accomplishments of the people that in effect demonstrate how inferior these white old men genuinely are.

i.e. they lack emotional maturity, emotional intelligence, and empathy.

  • Wise words!
