You've led me astray! Haha, no worries. I probably should have figured that but I try not to assume that new information is false just because I haven't heard it before. The post as a whole primed me to think there was some missing piece of info I hadn't heard before.
I'm also very disappointed in the so-called accomplishments of the Biden/Harris administration, but I firmly believe the DNC's complete unwillingness to run a primary without thumbing the scale is the main reason for how awful the last 12 years have been. If they could just run a normal goddamn primary without the bullshit we may be able to unify behind the nominee a little easier.
It would be nice if they could at least acknowledge the broken (removed?) PS4 to PS5 save transfer function. I was interested in some of the recent updates but found out those same updates had removed the feature I needed to continue my old save. So I just didn't play instead.
Hi, Negative Nancy here: what exactly should I take this to be other than either A) useless drivel or B) propaganda?
Because presidents are demonstrably not like us. They only come from the rich and they are fully above the law. They can decide, based on nothing but their own ego, that they need to run the country and anyone that stands in their way gets to be demonized by an extremely well-funded political party.
They can spend their entire career making student loan debt an unshakeable yolk for an entire generation and then pretend like they're doing something about it by following through on existing law and failing to do anything substantial.
In fact I strive to do as little as possible. I only work to pay the bills. If I could luck upon a comfortable enough nest egg I would quit working immediately and just play games the rest of my life (video & board, solo and with friends/family).
Hell, I may end up contributing more to society that way since I enjoy dabbling in video game design but don't have enough time to actually work towards anything I could release. If I had time, maybe I'd actually create something for a wider audience rather than whatever minor contribution I have at work.
At standard temperature and pressure (STP) it looks like CO2 has a density of 1.96 kg/m3. 1 tonne = 1000 kg, so a tonne of CO2 has a volume of (1000 kg)/(1.96 kg/m3) = 510 m3 at STP. A cube of that volume would have side length (510 m3)^(1/3) = 7.99 m, so roughly 8 meters per side.
I don't know how tall that person is, but if we assume around 1.6 m (5' 3") then the cube side length should be about 5 of her. Seems pretty accurate to me.
Genera are within families, not the other way around. Maybe read a book?
Also: the genus Panthera consists of 5 big cats. The other two big cats that aren't in Panthera are the cougar, which is also colloquially called a panther, and the cheetah.
So, in fact, "panther" can refer to any big cat other than cheetahs.
Officially they're on hiatus. They originally said they were retiring the line, but then changed their tune and stated that the Bolt line will return after they can implement their new EV battery tech in them. I believe the statements have been imprecise about when that will be, but potentially sometime in 2025 (meaning the 2026 model). That's assuming no delays or changes to the plan.
If you want a new Bolt without waiting for the revived line, I'd think about acting soon. They're moving really quickly in my area. I'm really happy with the EUV so far, but I'm still only at like 250 miles. I didn't go for the Premier since I don't care about adaptive cruise control or their "Super Cruise" self driving thing.
I'm about 3 weeks into my Bolt EUV ownership. Literally never considered any of their other EVs based on price alone. Really happy with my Bolt EUV so far, and really glad I snagged one before they stopped making them. For all their talk of limited demand, there was a lot of competition in my area to get one.
You're being downvoted but I agree. None of this has anything to do with religion. A weird fiction that invokes "[the Christian] God provided the vaccine" is irrelevant and disrespectful to the humans that worked hard to create a vaccine.
It's a pretty bad idea in general to bring up a supposedly omniscient, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent "God" in the context of children dying of diseases anyway. What kind of God would allow children to die of cancer? Or any number of other currently incurable diseases?
That would basically cover my student loan payments, so it would be equivalent to loan forgiveness for me. Improve is an understatement, that would actually allow me to save money. Right now my wife and I make slightly above area median income and we're just treading water financially. This would be a game changer. We could actually consider having a kid.
My favorite is when systems will stealth truncate your password without telling you, but only when setting it. For some reason I often encounter this with systems truncating to 20 characters.
Set 24 character password: no error (secretly truncated to 20 characters).
Try to log in: credentials invalid (it checks the full 24 character one against the 20 character one).
Go to reset to what it should be, password can't be the same (again, stealth truncating to 20 characters).
