My first bunny passed away in January. He was the first pet I had as an adult who was strictly my responsibility and no one else’s. A rabbit’s lifespan is typically 8-12 years old. My gray boy lived until he was just a few weeks shy of 13 years old.
I’m proud I took such good care of him and proud he stuck around so long. I still miss my fella a lot, but I’ve used what he taught me to adopt and care for 2 rescue rabbits; one who was dropped at a shelter when she was 3 and another young guy who was found dumped in a parking lot. They are going to be just as spoiled as my grey boy was.
My mom bought the paperback edition for me when I was 9 years old, when I was first started reading sci-fi books (thank you Animorphs for that intro). It was my first real “adult book” and it’s been knocking around in my collection for 32 years, moved with me across the US, and various other moves. It’s probably the one book that has been in my collection the longest. I didn’t read it until I was in my early 30s and I enjoyed it. I read Green Mars too, but I need to finish the trilogy.
I am interested in his Ministry of the Future book and I’ll read it at some point.
You are not alone. I have a handful of movies and shows I like to watch, but my excess time is usually spent reading books, browsing thrift stores and library shops for books, or reading articles about books. I also splash a little World of Warcraft, gardening, and house chores in there too.
I do enjoy them but I’m a bad gamer (I only play one game consistently). I added it to my wishlist to check out when it’s on sale. Thanks for the info!
I use a custom wallpaper. It’s a screenshot of Miller from The Expanse because he is my favorite character. My screensaver images are also from The Expanse.
I don’t really watch a Halloween movie every year, but something like The Ghostbusters would be a good one for me. They are some of my favorite movies anyway.
At Christmas time, I really enjoy watching Just Friends with Amy Smart and Ryan Reynolds. It’s cute, it’s funny, and it has a holiday theme.
Any suggestions on how to vape it? I usually put it on a bowl of cannabis to smoke it. I would love to find a different way. It’s my preferred hallucinogenic and I love the shorter trip, but my only complaint is it tastes like ass. Does vaping help with that or do I just have to deal with ass mouth? lol
I found it on Steam and thought it looked interesting. It’s a typing game and I’m pretty good with typing, so I picked it up. I played games, but not much and usually it’s just World of Warcraft.
Once I started, I played that game for 12 hours straight. It had me hooked immediately. The visuals are absolutely beautiful, the story is intriguing, and the gameplay is so much fun. I do not finish games very often, but I finished that game in a single weekend.
What I found kind of funny and dumb is under this article warning about AI content on Reddit, I got an ad with an AI generated Natalie Portman lookalike. They didn’t even cleanup the fingers melting into a book.
I agree and this one made me really sad, that show was so good. The turn that Battlestar Galactica took was caused by the writers strike back in the day. That strike unfortunately impacted a lot of good shows (Heroes was another one) and pushed reality TV onto us because no writers were required for a script. IMO, it had a pretty severe negative impact on what and how we watch things today. It was a crappy time for tv.
I still stand by the writers though and supported them striking at the time.
I’ll watch the whole video later and check out the other features, I just watched the first 30 seconds or so. It’s something I could see myself picking up, but I’m not sure I’d use it as a portable very much since it’s kind of larger. Maybe keeping it in my purse or book bag would work.
This is the one I’ve been looking at, but I need to look into reviews first. I love that both of these have a slot for a card.
Low rise jeans are making a comeback, I bought a couple pair recently because I prefer the low vs high rise, I hate high rise so much. They are definitely not the ultra low rise of my youth, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this style also comes back eventually.
Thank you! I appreciate that :)
