  • Some people laugh at this sort of thing as ridiculous and I get it but...

    Isn't it exciting that people are trying to be innovative and different? Phones of the early to mid 2000s were often pretty visually and functionally distinct from one another. But since like the 2010s every phone turned into the same boring (but very functional) rectangle. Give me some spice and newness! Be kooky and weird!

  • Yeah I drive around 3 hours on the highway every several weeks. Sometimes on my drive, there's obviously traffic. A lot of times it will be something like rush hour traffic, a crash, construction, etc.

    But then like...a good portion of the time when I come to the very front of the "clog", I find that it is just a blockade of multiple people going incredibly slowly and taking up all lanes of traffic, refusing to move over despite the fact that they are going under the speed limit.

  • Yes, it legitimately is an accessibility nightmare.

    There is a blind man I used to follow on YT. He is American and is pretty self sufficient. But since there are literally zero distinguishing features on our paper currency for blind people, he manages to know which bills he has by hoping others are telling him the correct bill in good faith and then organizing the bills in a particular order in his wallet.

  • Nice! How well does your cat travel? I used to frequently stay with my mom for the weekend on some of my days off. It's about a 3 hour drive. I just got my first cat a few weeks ago and he is relatively chill in the car so I'm wondering how much of a good or bad idea it is to take him on a trip like that.

  • Lmao I was driving about 16 hours solo to get back to Michigan. Legitimately immediately after crossing the Ohio to Michigan border, the road contrast was so incredibly stark lol. Immediate potholes everywhere.
