We must think. Think we must.

  • I'm in the long process of paperlessing. It's THE perfect example of that (not so) hidden cost. But there's no lying or trying to sell you magic. You put effort in a systematization that empowered by a great tool and a well thought out and tried model, and voila, winning.

  • The workflow with linkding and the linkding injector is gold.

  • Pain feels good. It's like sport, is it? Is it sport? I'm healthy.

  • This. I'm not that old yet, but the realization hit me in the face pretty hard. And all the more reasons to sort it out. And definitely simplify. Or "make it usable" let's say.

  • I know, right!? Do I have to let go? Yes! Am I defined as a person by the shit I accumulate? No!

  • It is indeed a great feature but how time-consuming haha :)

I inherited my music collection from my 20 years old limewire addicted self, so it's a complete mess. I'm in the process of completing albums and using Picard to properly tag everything... 20 years of music collection...it'll take me 20 more years!

Anyway, I guess it's a warning for anyone starting to accumulate data: think about metadata, formats and data-management. NOW!

  • Not bad at all! You have your classic shuffle discovery, but also a playlist from songs you liked, and many exploration shortcuts like music by decades. It also got me into scrobbling to listenbrainz.

  • Made the switch from Airsonic + Ultrasonic and second this.

And hoping Tempo's maintainer is still working on it.

  • Yo, how can anyone buy code without first reading it?

  • Well, we're totally doing this and it's working quite alright if you ask me.

"We" have been battling giants and absolute war machines for decades and...we're still here, right? Open source software is running 90% of servers, and driving the innovation faster than ever. It's supporting their shitty techbros empires and letting them live their wicked dreams just because the anarco-communist principles put freedom as the centermost value of all of this. Isn't it?

All the while, aren't we totally enjoying our small web world already? As many of us have pointed in the comments? We won't cure tiktok adrelin addicted kids by inviting them into a webring. And I don't think I even want them in before they're cured anyway. Prohibiting greedy capitalist from poisoning our children isn't our technological endeavour. We fight back, protect ourselves, and prepare the world after. But it's a bigger problem than the fediverse, isn't it?

Anyway, I propose we selfhost a lot of good stuff and get kids addicted to robbing giants, waddaya think? Yar

  • Hey, can we see some of the picture? These look awesome.

  • DO YOU HAVE TP?! Rrrrolios

  • I have no idea what I just read, but it sounded like something I should agree with

  • Pourquoi zed a cassé la prise en charge du clavier français linux avec ses dernières mises à jour ?
