Not just “I’ve got mine”. It’s really “I’ve got mine, fuck you!”
It’s selfishness and petty grievances blown all out of proportion.

Our only hope is if Project 2025 ends up not being implemented in full because of its one fatal flaw: Donald Trump didn’t think of it first. He might ignore parts of it out of spite, just to make sure the Heritage Foundation understands that it is not President.
Back in 2015, who had “WWIII will start in the next 15 years, but the US and Russia will be the bad guys” on their bingo card?
Haha, that was a typo, but I’m leaving it anyway, it’s fitting
I believe that there were a fair number of people who just couldn’t check the box for any woman, but we’re too afraid to admit it publically (or even to themselves). While their complaints about the economy were legit, they might have also been a convenient excuse to hide the misogyny.
And didn’t Obama confront this head-on? He told Black men “Look, you may not be inclined to back the woman here, but backing that man in particular would be a disaster”. And he was dismissed by many as lecturing too much.
This is just the 2028 campaign starting early
The worst thing that ever happened to crypto was its price skyrocketing. It lost its utility for payments when everyone decided it was an asset and too valuable to spend.
Also, kids here on student visas now have to face the very real possibility they will get revoked and deported on a whim.
President Rodgers will turn Camp David into a Ayahuasca Retreat
I am really surprised no member of the Trump family is on this list.
If this is the last dance for democracy in America, a small part of the blame wil go not only to Biden for not leaving at the right time, but also RBG. Her insistence on not resigning during Obama’s term, while Democrats held the Senate, enabled this, too.
Right, but every seat Democrats manage to siphon away is one less vote in support of fascism. And House Republicans do a lot of internal fighting. I will laugh out loud if they can’t pick a speaker again, and it somehow affects the timeline for counting the EC votes.
I wonder if this will make it into the Senate Confirmation Hearings when Trump makes him Secretary of Making Things Worse Before They Get Better. (Or maybe they are smart enough to not give him a job that requires Congressional approval…)
All I know is he’s smarter than you or I am. I have no illusions that Trump will ever get what he deserves, but I’ll at least wait to see what actually happens in that filing before raging.
This isnt the last word. Smith is working out “the appropriate course for this case”, and the judge is giving him until Dec 2. We will hear from him again, before Trump takes office.
He’s a smart guy, he may figure out a way to make these last few months interesting.
Alaska votes for him, and it has oil. He’ll keep it. He might sell Puerto Rico, though.
I don’t. Biden is a shell of what he once was. And people, rightly or wrongly, ultimately blamed Biden for how expensive shit is right now. I don’t think he would have been able to overcome that. I was a big backer of Biden – the only politician to beat Trump, after all – until I saw that debate and realized he just didn’t have it anymore.
The right move would have been to stick to his initial promise of being a one-term President. If Democrats had a meaningful primary, even if Harris ended up with the nomination anyway, she would have been able to formulate a more transitional campaign message, which would have put at least a bit of distance between her and Biden.

Keep any documents with proof of citizenship on you at all times
US Passport cards are really handy for that. all the identity power of a passport book, but in a card you can keep in your wallet. Anyone who “looks foreign” at all should get one and carry it with you at all times. You shouldn’t have to, but you should anyway.
No, all he’s really looking for is the affirmation he never got from his father. Fill the classified briefings with quotes from people who love him. Leave the details out of it.
I remember reading that the people who wrote the briefings last time had to make sure his name appeared in any section they wanted him to read, otherwise he’s just skip it.
