  • I honestly can't watch most of that era of comedies. Even when they were first airing I didn't like Friends but there were others I liked.

I tried watching Frasier again recently and the laugh track drove me nuts. I got to the point of looking for an ML tool to strip the sound out.

  • I never found the braking distance to be a problem. To brake you basically just sit down and it kicks the motor into reverse. Because it uses the motor to rebalance the other way its much faster than if it were something like a disc brake.

  • I briefly owned one of these. Mine topped out at 32 kph (20 mph) but most models went faster.

IMO the biggest risk is if you accelerate too hard the engine cuts out even if you're st high speed. And of course you're leaning forward when it happens because that's how you accelerate.

  • His writing style leads me to think he's on meth, which means he might be American

  • Good. Justice is always a balance between many factors but we've erred too far on the side of giving the benefit of the doubt to those that don't deserve it.

If we stop the revolving door of serious offenders we can focus our resources on things with more benefit for society.

  • That sounds right to me. Maybe "spin" if I want to be a bit more neutral, but it doesn't look like they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Theyre putting a happy spin on some bullshit.

  • We have SAFe at my office too. It seems to me that it's just a way to say you're agile while still being waterfall.

  • You only need a couple grand to open a margin account and buy puts. A put isn't technically a short but it has a very similar profit profile with lower risk.

But you're right that timing is key.

  • It could even be they were brave enough and there wasn't enough evidence. These are the ones that the prosecution could prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

I mean, there are probably some who didn't come forward too.

  • You didn't circumvent it by breaking the encryption, but I'd say you still circumvented it.

  • Yep. It's not the best hunting rifle, but it is an affordable one.

  • I've read a decent amount of his stuff. If I had to guess from the information here, he's dismissive because the correlation is weak. Just because you technically can draw a line of best fit doesn't mean it's a good fit.

Look how many dots all over are nowhere near that line.

  • He was involved for sure. One of the segments was his mom reviewing porn.

  • So the Minister for Red tape reduction is adding more steps to the licensing process?

That's ok, the same minister in Ontario is a part of the biggest cabinet in history.

  • It's a minor offense until it kills someone. These aren't cameras on freeways, they're in school zones and next to parks.

  • I tried to do a dual boot on my bf's new laptop, he was li-curious, it ended up being such a hassle he just switched entirely. He prefers the Mac like interface on Wayland.

  • Keep in mind, this is a project they first announced in 2017.

  • I can't believe how much mileage they're getting out of this, despite not having built a damn thing.

I'm 40 years old. I've been hearing about high speed rail my entire life. Forgive me if I'm skeptical.

  • And we've been "studying" high speed rail in that corridor for roughly 40 years now. One of these days we'll build it, I swear!
